Yes. He would have shot anyway... he was prepared to die. The only thing holding him back was the fact that the 1st two cops were unarmed. He had them facing away from him. I think he was just biding his time to kill himself. The armed response guy came around a hedge right in front of the guy. The guy raised the gun and shot him in the head then turned the gun on himself.

IMO: The founding fathers put the 2nd amendment in place for us, as citizens to be able to protect ourselves from invasion from people(s) FOREIGN or DOMESTIC. Of course they want to take our guns away, that means we are unprotected and they can do anything they want with us, and we will have no way of defending ourselves.
On top of that, with more gun CONTROL comes less defense for us against people who would want to enter our homes illegally. As it was said before, only the criminals do not care about the laws, but they will be praying on the people they know can't defend themselves, via firearms.
Less guns for us = more control and power for them. though, I'd like to see them try and take guns away from the 120+ million of us here who have them, it would be a field day.

oh, about the window shooting thing - wasn't trying to ignore that.
i've shot lots of windows, even car windows. you'd be surprised how glamorous hollywood makes it look compared to the real deal. a nice clean hole is all you get, no sparks, no shards flying everywhere. it would have to be a call made on site... depends on caliber used and angles.
