Lights are burning the plants

Big problems guys my plants are too big and I can't raise the light any more, they're killing the plants

pinch the stock above the second bud site from the top firmly between 2 fingers until the tube inside breaks, make sure u are very gentle. Once it is broken bend the top over at a 90 degree angle. The bud will continue to grow but it will likely just stay bent over. Do this for every bud top that is too close. Those plants look like they should be full on flowering soon so u should end up ok as they likely will stop stretching soon.

for future notice when plants are grown so tightly together like that some strains will stretch more, competition for light.

yeah, do this, it's called super cropping, i do it all of the time to keep an even canopy..
a lot of times after a bit, the tops will start to grow back towards the light again, phototropism, and will need to be bent back over again if they're getting too close again.. sometimes they don't though and will stay bent like you had them the first time..
just find a spot that you like that you think is down enough on the plant, and do as purple hays says, and gently bend the stems over .. google super cropping and look up some videos on youtube first if you'd like to get an idea of what you're doing first if it'll make you feel a bit more comfortable about what you're doing..
umm, just be careful, some plants don't take well to super cropping.. i'd say a large majority of them do, and respond well, but i've found some strains, such as bubba kush for one, have super thick stems, and i find it almost impossible to bend them over without snapping them.. i'm sure it could probably be done, but i've always struggled with that one strain and trying to super crop it.. i'd imagine there are some others as well.. but like i said, mostly everything else i've grown took to it well..

Thanks a lot guys, I have been bending the plants but I think the damage is done, I had to turn down the intensity of the light , some bud sites have areas that are clearly burned , I'm so upset I can't even explain, all this work and my lights burn my plants? Seems like a horrible way to fuck this up. Will the burned areas recover ? 4 more weeks of flower to go

Burned areas will not recover.

Whether from light burn, nute burn, damage or other stress... once part of a plant is necrotic (those cells are dead) there's no going back... The rest of the plant will be fine... but anything that's gone dry/yellow/brown will not rejuvenate. Also any burned/bleached buds will generally be harsh and lack any potency whatsoever

The thing that makes this a horrible way to fuck this up is that it was completely preventable. But now that you did it once, I bet it'll be a while before it happens again, so... good?

I have a very short space myself and am using a 150-300w led (150veg/150bloom/300full... sometimes I only use the 150, sometimes the whole 300). The light's meant to be hung nearly 5 feet up (from the soil I imagine, so six feet from the ground my pots are on) but I only have about 4 feet of height (from the group... so about 3 from the soil and 2 from the tops of the plants). I already knew I wanted to keep my plants short even before I decided on that space, so I topped and LSTd them out for broader, shorter plants.

btw, it's hard to tell what's going on in the red light.

Don't beat yourself up man. Most people (despite multiple attempts) never make it this far!

You can buy spools of plastic covered wire (like garbage ties) at Home Depot that has inumerable uses in the grow room, including keeping those supercropped stems bent over.

YES!!!... cheap and almost as useful as duct tape (Maybe as useful?).

Bought it, and use it extensively, for LST.

I've tied broken plant back together with it.

Use it to hang plants to dry.

As cable ties for my wires.

To hang and secure stuff in general quite a bit.

I just found a new use for it: the wire is annealed steel. Stripped, it makes a great vape coil, with a little sciencing (resistance vs length vs power applied vs temps desired). BOOM! Minds blown (drops mike on stage).
