Ding ding ding lol you can get extended hairs and leafy bud along with airy from high temps. Plant has to open up to breath more used to get bud looking like that when I first started growing it'll still be good bud just fluffy
Damn lol. well good thing I bought an air conditioner then. But I would think having them outside would make my buds tighter than having them under 400w hps. otherwise all outdoor bud would be fluffy all the time

Your plant looks fine I'm answering to light leaking as spoken about on this thread. Light leaking today is not likely to hermie our very stable genetics and actually colloidal silver takes weeks to get them to hermie in my experiences. But if I have light leaking inside my room I know I am not going to be hitting 1.0gpw on my hard to grow strains, which I need to hit to make the ball bounce here. But it took more than that for OG Kush I really have to pamper that bitch hard and in the end I have to drop temps to get the weight to pack on. There is so much more to this stuff than whether or not it hermie'd. The thing you can't see is "did she just release hormones that will stall bud growth?".

Well where are you located at most bud hasn't started budding yet atleast where I'm at the outdoor here once budding starts is 70-80 day and 50-60 night. Could also be a trait of the strain but most the time heat stress. Where ever you are has to be already at less than 14hrs of light which for this time of the year is kinda shitty they call it croptober because a majority of plants finish in mid-end October so normally plenty cool

Not all outdoor grows hit temps in the 90s, which is the main factor here, not light intensity. Outdoor buds do tend to be fluffier than indoor buds a lot of the time I'd say (probably because many do hit such temps).
Also has to do on when they finish if 91 during veg no big deal 91 in flower is hell tho. Most plants are still in veg right now till August 22nd if I'm not mistaken

hmm maybe i should start some seeds now and let them flower out outside. Hmm that's interesting about the high temps causing fluffy buds. You know what I'll do..I'll conduct a little experiment. I'll take video and make notes and what not on this grow, and then compare it to a winter grow. In winter it's very easy to lower temps in this house. So ill keep it like 75 during daylight hours...whats optimal night temps? I have some purple bud seeds too that are supposed to hit lower temps to turn color

My optimal temps are 71° day time 61° night time

okay according to that article i should be fine. Those high temps i mentioned are only right under the light at the very closest tops. I have three plants in there so only about 1/3 of the tops are close enough to reach those temps. the grow room itself everywhere but right under the light is a very nice temp.
Sounds good :).

I've never run very hot temps... I helped friend out in NV/AZ and CO... but they had big set ups with plenty of temp control... one lucky bastard (in CO) had a cave outside his little grow house that stayed super cold all year round... in hot summers he could run a vent hose to it and draw cool air to mix with is hot.

My current grow has run cold. vegged and started to flower at highs of 60s and lows of 50s... it has just been that cold around here and I didn't have a good heating option, just a small heater fan which (when I did try it on its lowest setting) was overkill and needed a lot of diffusing to keep the hot air from drying/burning leaves.... I finally got a heating cable meant for terrariums to use as underfloor heating... and put the plants in a more closed space... temps have gone up to almost 80 ambient in the box, and I keep it around 70 in the root zone. I feel the cold definitely stunted/slowed my plants, but I was also rushing them: 6 weeks veg... into week 5 flower now... itching to harvest... both from general grow anxiety and cuz I'm out of buds. Been getting by clipping tasters... so far so very good. I think a conservative guess is a half oz per plant right now... this is a huge return for me (counting time spent, materials and power used, vs buying at the shop or even direct from growers around here.

I had a nice setup in my basement before this and the temps were great, but now it god damned flooded, two inches of water throughout the entire basement so i had to move upstairs. temps are harder to control but at least i dont have to lug these plants up the stairs every day to put them outside now. Attached some pics of my royal medic, what you guys think? vegged her for 30 days, today is 4 weeks flowering exactly, but pic is from yesterday. She is almost up to my collarbone in height (bucket included) the last pic is high res so you can zoom in to a certain extent and get a look at those sexy plant vaginas.

That's looking damned good... haha funny you mention vaginas... I think of all the picture posting as Weed Porn.

Autumnal equinox: September 22nd.
You two should head over to the Outdoor section.
Outdoor bud does not use the 12/12 equinox. Northern hemisphere peeps are in full flowering swing. Check em out in the Who is harvesting some big trees thread. https://www.rollitup.org/t/who-is-growing-some-trees.907885/

Here is a great explanation By Gunja Girl. https://www.rollitup.org/t/12-12-does-not-apply-to-outdoor-growing.916846/#post-12834394
