Helicopters

I use to put fake flowers on the plants and the surrounding non-cannabis plants. Plus, if a helicopter does fly above you, you should never look up at it. Your face reflects light and you'll pop out to them looking down. Face down and don't move.
From my experience, your face won't reflect enough light that you'll suddenly be highlighted. We can just see your silhouette really well in general. This tactic does seem feasible, though, except for the smell.

I'm pretty sure the flower thing is for backyard grows .....if a helicopter pilot sees a beautiful field of flowers in the middle no where I think that would draw more attention than plants alone ......lol. Could you imagine using this tactic in the middle of a guerrilla plot ...everything's green and then bam home and garden lol

Yeah, you'd need to stagger your shit so it's more dispersed and use something close to the local natural foliage. Like, you'd really need to tweak it, but it could potentially work. Still, you're right, that's better kept to a rural back yard or something.

Yeah I see lots of people make the mistake of perfectly symmetrical guerrilla grows ....nature is not like that

And our county doesn't fly the chopper very often anymore. Cost is too high. What happens most of the time is an ex will drop a dime, then they fly over to "spot" the patch.

I'm within a few miles of the airport, and there must be some kind of flight school, because there is always planes in the air. But they are high up and drone on in straight lines. When the county flies their plane, it is low and slow.

I heard the chopper on Monday morning. I had gone back to my SOL, GV and Slo patches to spray some nasty looking stink bugs, and to tie up a broken limb. It wasn't over me, but still scared the shit out of me. I did my spraying and repair work, and got the fuck out of there. The high up planes were flying when I went back, but I can stay out of sight from them until I get in the open spots to tend the plants. And with a little crawling, I can get them fed without exposing myself. But the choppers are another animal. Not sure I could hide from one of them if they were really looking.
I feel like if I'm outside doing some random shit like cutting grass or playing with kids they will not notice the obvious.

I don't always wear camo pants, but I do wear camo shirt and turkey mask every time I'm in the woods. In the big woods I wouldn't worry about them finding me, but some of my patches are in scrub oak and thinned pines. Not enough cover if they are on top of you. And they can get there in just a couple of minutes after you hear them. When you have buckets of water, it is scary until you decide they are going somewhere else.
I try my best not to go deep in the woods due to TICKS!

I have learned the pattern they fly over the past 5years. They fly between the first & last week of July in a black with blue stripe chopper.

Why the fuck are they flying in July? They start here first of September when the pot sticks out like cactuses in a snow storm. Very rarely are they spotting the 10-20 plants grows if spread out, it's the 50+ that get picked off from the air. They will take what they can get though. In 40 years I've lost one grow and that was theft so touch wood. I've 20 going outside now and it's just too much work lol. Can't wait to turn the lights back on :). Biggest was 500 a long time ago and that was just a whole shit load of trouble with the crew :(
