As others have mentioned at the price you cannot go wrong, having played around with the smaller citizen chips and now working my way up to the bigger ones I can vouch that they are a very good chips indeed and seriously underated... The thermal resistance of the Citizen COBs are extremely low due to the fact that they package on aluminium...they have the patent for this design so Cree and the others cannot package in such a manner nor beat Citizen for thermal efficiency, pretty certain they also employ thin film flip chip technology in their products, so they are definitely on the cutting edge and dare I say slightly ahead of Cree....

Also giving a shout out to the guys at flip chip Opto because they have definitely listened to the comments here in this forum and are now using them to help develop and bring innovative products to the canna market, so thumbs up to you guys as well!!!

nice story...any way to back up this, with numbers...
 
vero18 old version.. the LES Aera is nearly the same... 18mm for the vero, 22mm for the citizen. the greater LES of the citizen does not help here...
and Cree is not way behind this numbers from Brdgelux.

I think Bridgelux has the lowest non-flip chip thermal resistance I've seen. I don't see Cree's in there, but I don't think it's particularly impressive...did I miss it?

Where is Cree's listed? I've asked you this before I think, but Supra was saying Tj 85 = Tc 55 at 1.9A to explain the discrepancy between PCT and data sheets:

Sorry, lot of replies, but he wasn't advertising anything. I agree with you otherwise. They deleted his first thread because he mentioned his company, so the second thread was 100% DIY focused with no company name mentioned. Just good information and interesting discussion, I mean before Sativied showed up :)

@rxr2 do you even sell your lights outside of Poland? If you do, definitely advertise.

For me the question then becomes if I start a thread about Spectrolight, and he participates, does he have to pay RIU? It's so weird. Anyway, I'll stop posting now.

Since apparently putting out correct information is wrong, as well as standing up for the person that gave it and was attacked was wrong...which I don't think you actually agree to that...
What was your take on @OneHitDone 's issue with "not mixing" when he saw the colors separated through the hole. Was is a camera obscura diffraction effect through the tent slits or not??
You seemed to agree the bandwagon about their personal feelings(such as being wrong yet acting correct because of their ego...then getting called for it). You insinuated there is a different answer with your comment about "able to keep"...but never gave any answer to what was going on with the light?
No one is here to advertise, nor were they doing that in the other thread. Just putting the facts and data first...not feelings.
I'm sure @MrTwist1 would like to hear your thoughts on it as well.

What was going on there???

The fact is though he is operating a business. A quick glance at the company website and it is easy to see they are a startup company with some financial backing.
There have been several folks here who have started their own companies and ponied up as advertisers. Tasty, PLC, johnson, Northern etcetera. Seems only fair to those companies that there be a level playing field.

I want his participation here and I think the best way forward is to do so as a legitimate advertiser. What can they do then? He can share knowledge, promote his product, look to make contacts that will distribute his products to a larger market etc..

As things stand now he is in the crosshairs of Rollitup because they want revenue just as Spectro-light would like revenue. I would buy his products based on the threads that have been deleted. Hell I would buy his products just based on his avatar.

I know he was not outright advertising but you have to admit there was some textbook grass roots marketing in play. Kudos to spectro-light I wish them success.
Unfortunately I think until he decides to pay to play his content is going to end up on milk cartons.

Tme delivers citizen cobs only in Poland, i tried to find a Polish company to recive my order then deliver me but without success. If someone got a trick, feel free to pm, i just need only 4 cobs.

With regards to Bridgelux fair point...although not wholly buying it, tell me out of curiosity what material is their substrate made out of same goes for Cree?

Not really looked too hard at Bridgelux stuff,,,but you hit the nail on the head with regards to Cree not posting their data, because a good chunk of this game is about bragging rights and I am pretty sure if Cree had anything to boast about in this department they would be shouting about it from the rooftops...
