what is going on there is don't you see the plant loose in the cube . its not sitting tight in the cube . so the plant is sending out roots searching for water . the proper thing to do here is to cut a cube place it around the stem and put a small rubber band on both of them . the roots will come out of both . you can throw it into another container if you like a glass of water example . right now the plant is almost in survival mode it thinks its dyeing from starvation forced to grow roots to live .

It almost looks like some are dampening of at the top of the cube, they also look really wet but it's hard to tell from a pic.

He should have technically squeezed it sealed around the stem to press out the air.

Fair enough.....ill seal it up... Its been pretty wet in there....i turned off the heating pad cuz i thought it was too hott.......guess not.

You sure put out a ton of advise to people with like ZERO experience eh.. For someone on his first year and first grow if im not mistaken, you sure have a big head and garbling mouth. Why dont you keep it in your pants a little. Maybe work on your actual XP than your post count XP.

you are just balls deep in this forum like an 11 yr old in a Victoria Secret magazine.

I find that having the dome on and the cubes damp provide lots of moisture but if the cubes are soaking then damping does occur on occasion. I do mist but very sparingly, I also remove the dome every day for a bit just to release some of the excess moisture.

Well said ..... After 40 years I still try to include "in my experience" :).

I learned. I'm trying to pass on what I learned. I don't see your point.

If I can grow successfully once, and now I'm doing so again with 2 more plants and have 4 more veg'ing, I think I know what I'm doing. I'm trying to help people through what I have studied and applied. If you think I'm being cocky, you're mistaken.

Ive been keeping an 1/8 to 1/4 inch of water on the bottom of the trey....spraying dome..
I try not to allow any water to sit but keep the cubes moist and maintain a high humidity, it's the leaves that are keeping the plant alive. A lite misting every day or two seems to work best for my set up.

I kept my clones in humidity domes for a few weeks and watered every few days and eventually the leaf tips started to die. So I took them out and just watered daily, no more death or droop and I'm seeing root production daily. I also noticed they root more slowly under 24/0 and I saw roots only after giving 2 days of 20/4.
