Watering question? Help

I know I'm supposed to look for some run off when I water my plant in my smart pot. But what if the runoff comes out on one side of the smart pot. And then the other side is not showing run off. Does that mean I need to give that side more water until runoff is coming out equally from the entire bottom of the smart pot? I run into the same question when I water my plastic pots. There are four holes at the bottom of the plastic pots. But when I water them sometimes run off only comes out of two of the holes. Do I need to keep watering until I see runoff coming out of all four of the holes on the bottom of the plastic pot?

Yeah sometimes you get water channeling in your soil which leaves a good portion still dry. The solution is to water very slowly starting from the side you believe is remaining dry. So that you understand I mean you should pour a little water on the soil then stop pouring so you can wait until it's soaked in. If it's really bad water really slowly.. (When soil is channeling and dry it will drip from the bottom almost immediately when watered, this is not a sign to stop completely, just for the moment)

Ok. So the run off is supposed to come out of the bottom equally on all sides of the pot? Also, how do dry pockets form? I make sure to use extra perlite for good drainage. Thanks

yup,when i water my smartpots with coco,i sometimes have to water a lil slow on select girls,,doesnt hurt my girls bad if i were to do tht for a few days but i make sure it doesnt come to tht...i use auto drip irrigation but when i am using teas or something of the sort i hand water tht day and u def wanna go a lil slower to evenly saturate the girls...and sometimes i dont get too much runnoff and it never hurts anything ever,,,maybe others have dif experiences but this is just mines,,,hope it helps a little,,,peace an love,,,stay green:peace::bigjoint:

Im new to growing. I didnt know if im supossed to keep pumping full of water until i see it coming out the bottom of all sides of pot. Or just a couple of the holes. Anyway if thats a dumb question. Then fuck ur mom doggystyle. Faggot. Lol haha

Everyone has to start somewhere. There is no need to attack people because they post a question that you consider elementary. It's counterproductive to learning and it makes you out to be an asshole. Try not responding next time and work on being a little more humble instead.

Actually he has a point. OP has been in the site appr 1.5 months and started 45 threads asking questions that a little searching could have answered. 45. That's one a day. That's a lot of people's time.
