Help ASAP??

My plants are just starting there 4th week and yesterday I noticed the leaves look funky..I have them in mostly Fox Farm Happy Frog but 3 days ago I added about 1 inch of Ocean Forest just on top and spread around. The white pistols just started showing 2 days ago so I switched from my 400w MH over to my HPS bulb. The light is about 2 feet away from the tops and Def not over watered. In fact I haven't really Givin them any notes at all but was wondering if this is just heat stress or nitrogen toxicity from too hot of soil?? Should I flush real good?? I have moved light up alittle..also I took pic of my temp/humidity meter inside the tent and while lights are on is pretty consistent and can't get Temps to lower20160717_200554.jpg 20160717_200514.jpg 20160717_200534.jpg 20160717_200507.jpg

Sometimes they droop when under watered. What is the temps and humidity? Maybe too hot because of summertime.

Consider a hillbilly AC if the room is hot. If you have a freezer then fill up 2 liter soda bottles with water and freeze them.

Also maybe just use water for a day and no nutes.

That is most definitely a Nitrogen toxicity problem. It looks pretty late stage due to the yellowing. Flush heavily and make sure you're using the correct ratio of fertilizer. Those plants look pretty young, so going full strength is too much, especially if your using synthetic ferts. My guess is that you are. I also use Happy frog consistently, and have used ocean forest as well. Neither one of those soils would cause the N overdose that you are seeing

I don't think thats nitrogen toxicity mate. Those top leaves definitely aren't liking something though. Maybe the light was too close. They'll do that when trying to get away from the light.

Curled down "claw" like leaves, along with yellowing are classic signs of N toxicity. Why are you thinking otherwise?

Actually no, clawed leaves and DARK green leaves are signs of nitrogen toxicity mate. Ya just got here, smoke one and chill out newbie.
Dark green initially yes, but "leaves that turn into claws often start turning yellow and dying if the nitrogen toxicity is not treated, much like a nitrogen deficiency, only the leaves will continue to get more and more clawed. Leaves eventually turn yellow or brown and fall off" That's why I pointed out that it looked as if it was in a later stage. Come on bro, I might be new to the forum, but I darn sure aren't new to growing.

Listen I see ya want to pick a fight with stoney. And i aint got time fer it. But for future reference nitrogen toxicity occurs on the lower leaves first not on the top newest growth. Looks like you need to cmon bro :bigjoint:

well sheeit! The first pic is the only one I saw initially, and it looks like the whole plant is doing the same thing. After browsing through all of them, you're right stoney! It looks like it's only on the top.

Yes it's only on the tops..I ran 9 gallons of water thru each pot lastnight..but not sure how can be nitrogen cause I haven't fed them anything except straight water..and one time with very very light add of calm again but that's it..I haven't even started flower nutes..but my light at first was prob about 2 feet or less from the tops when I switched from MH over to HPS also heat in general is a problem in there so I rigged up a cooler and ice fan to blow some cool air in and also raised the light an additional 6 inches or so
