I have been giving these plants R.O. water and have been supplementing with cali mag since the beginning. Was giving 1teaspoon per gallon in veg., and 1/2 teaspoon per gallon during flower.
Does any one know why there is orangish brown spots?
I use a powerful LED light but is about a foot away from the plants. The temps range between 66 to 84. But usually is between 72 to 81 degrees faranheit (18 to 27 celsius).
The relative humidity ranges between 40 and 75.
The plants are sitting in coco coir / perlite mix in smart pots.

I would appreciate if anyone can help to figure out what os causing the leafs to brown one plant had it since like the 3rd week. And the others dont have it as bad just slightly.
Thank you,

Just let plants dry fro a few days (till soil is dry) to answer further tell me what types of nutrient using (?) besides the one you mentioned - Your cal-mag use will not cause those leaf spotting

The pictures on my end appear up and down in a column, not left to right. So not sure which picture your talking about but here are some more images upclose with magnification and also with light.

I think the purpling is not related to the orange brown spots. I think the purple is due to cold temperatures.

THIS particular plant started showing the brown/orange spots from the beginning of week 3. The other plants dont have so much orange spots. They have a little bit but not nearly as much as this one.

I would really like to know if this plant would be safe to dry , cure, and smoke since its almost time to chop. I can trim most of the orange/browning off but if it has rot, mold, or fungus or mites id rather throw the whole thing away and start fresh.

Thanks for any help

I am chopping them down today. I have had this problem the brown orange spots on leaves started like in beginning of week 3 and it started with just THIS plant. I couldnt figure it out so i thought it might just be a deficiency or due to LED light burn so i just kept going.
Its an AUTOFLOWER strain i opted to go with autos since im a beginner (it's my first grow) and because my grow space i cannot seal it properly at the moment light leaks in a little.
They started flowering after 4 weeks from seed. And they are now 10 weeks from seed.

something looks off,but iam looking at it thur computer good luck:bigjoint:
Yea i agree I was thinking its LED light burn but this plant only?? Well the other ones have a lil oranging on the tips of the sugar leaves now too.

My light is a DIY - Custom built light. Here are some pictures of the lights they are C.O.B. ( Chip On Board) LED Arrays by CREE. They are the model CXB 3590 each Chip uses like 50watts so total the 5 LEDS are 250Watt. 20160717_120916.jpg 20160717_120825.jpg 20160717_120933.jpg My grow area I could not cool it correctly/steadily, to use a hot 400watt hps i think it would get too hot in their.
In few months I will move to bigger house and dedicate a larger room for flowering and seal it with its own AC then I am planning to use 1000watt hps. But this is what im working with for now.

Thanks for your comments and advice

You got it Heat Burn - not to worry this is a common issue with LED use -learn something new each grow !!!

RO water and coco is a bad combo if you arent supplementing enough calmag. 1/2 tsp is not enough for a flowering plant I use atleast 5ml if I use RO and mix calcium rich nutrients such as crab meal or oyster shells into the soil.
