Going a couple of miles in each direction from the house will have very different trees. Sand hills one way, water the other. You can drive for a couple hours and see nothing but pine trees. Boring to drive by, but I grow them myself. Improved Slash mostly, but I do have about 28 acres of Longleaf. I've been selling the Longleaf pinestraw for two years now. $100 an acre for the 20 acres here at the house. Not that much, but it pays the land taxes.Place I grew up was full of cypress, oaks, & pines. Lots of fucking pines
I see an oak like the top one most days. It even has the cables to help it hold the spread out limbs up.Yeah, so was Houston on the pines. They are sparse in KY. I used to have to go look for oaks in Houston, but when you found them they were fuckin gargantuan.
View attachment 3733302I like oaks with Spanish moss even better, something we don't have in KY. Here's one that fell over in Georgia.

Hot women also means lots of bitches ha ha ha.I know you like to give LA shit VN but man, it's honestly one of my top 5 states to visit because of that diversity and hot women. Georgia and SC are pretty tight too. I just like the South in general lol.
Yep. It seems like all the hot, wet places have tons of poverty and the old boy network still in charge of things. I blame it on AC. No one but us diehards used to live down here in the south. When AC came along, so did all the folks.North Louisiana is full of oak bottoms and pine thickets and the local lakes are chock full of cypress trees
That entire Charleston to Savannah, GA area is about the only place I'd want to live other than KY.I was on my way to moving to South Carolina before I bounced my ass overseas
That is SO true!all the hot, wet places have tons of poverty and the old boy network still in charge of things
I spent a week in Charleston when I was on leave from the Navy. Really neat town. That entire Charleston to Savannah, GA area is about the only place I'd want to live other than KY.
