Hi, im a new grower going through a trial and error process. and need some advise on seedlings.
On the 5th of July I planted my germinated seeds and two days later the sprouted. its now the 15th of July and my seedlings have not changed. How long does it take for them to grow new leaves? And is there something, that im doing wrong? Really need help. I want to succeed at this.

Hallo and welcome to the forum.

You shouldnt have planted all of those plants in one pot, this is not salade..

Maybe try to get them in seperate pots some will make it some maybe not.

I would suggest that you read alot more, there is alot of experience in here on that forum.

All the best..

Thank you for the advise.... so I guess I should start over. these are seeds from a friend and im not sure what strain they are.
Im from south Africa and still trying to get my process just right. I appreciate all the help I can get. those seedlings are already 10DAYS old.
Should I be worried that they haven't formed new leaves?

Hi @NatsieG you dont need to start over, but you do beed better soil you also need to transplant those babies.. I suggest a better soil with perlite and lots of air..
you need a "grow plan"

#1 get some soil that cannabis likes.. Foxfarms will work and is simple to find.
#2 bury those stems in the new soil.. also get some garden lime in the soil..
#3 how are you going to feed them? cannabis will not grow well without food..
#4 what are the genetics your are growing?

weather or not you start over would depend on those genetics..

My lighting is two lights, the pic attached. I also have a fan running, they say it strengthens the stems. I don't have a lightening schedule, my light is on 24/7 as its winter where I am. do you think I should move the light closer to the plants?

Whoa, whoa. Starting out new, try one plant per pot and just work on a single plant. What lighting, soil, nutrients, strain, etc.

You're definitely going to want to chuck that. Do you have, like, $99? Get a ViparSpectra 300w from Amazon. It is more than worth the investment.

Currently ive got them in general seedling mix soil with phosphate fertilizer
I don't have food for them as yet. I have to import it as im from south Africa and do not have access to many options.
Im also scared that if I transplant them now they will die. I don't know the genetics of the seeds im growing as they were given to me.
As a first time grower, id like to get my process right before investing in auto flowering seeds. 20160715_150209.jpg 20160715_150224.jpg

Don't go autoflower. They are difficult, finicky, you have to plant them in the final pot from the start, and any slight mistake will effect your final yield, because any energy spent recovering will take away from its energy it will use to make bud for you.

So bottom line, 1 plant, 1 pot, main thing is to get a better light. I strongly recommend the ViparSpectra 300w if you are on a budget. Go to Amazon for it. They probably do shit to South Africa. They are global, not American.

Everyone is so helpful here....I really appreciate it.
Amazon. It's easier to get ripped off through eBay.
Im gonna go to their website now and have a look.... You've been extremely helpful. thank you so much.
Which method of germination do you think is the best. I have put seeds in some water. most of my research was done on youtube.
And Id was wondering about the greenhouse method?

If you have professional seeds, germ them right in the pot. If not, put in a warm, moist paper towel, then put that in a sandwich back and zip it 75% of the way and put it somewhere warm for between 1-3 days. Check on it ever 12 hours or so. If nothing after 3 days, scrap it and try to germ the next one.
