Should I trim lower leafs (1st week of Flowering)

Hey guys I am about 5 days into flowering and I was starting to notice lower growth starting to look pretty shitty.
I'm guessing it's in relation to not getting light on the lower leafs. (for a while I was thinking I was overwatering or under watering but the middle - top leafs look ok to me)
can those lower leafs drooping cause issues with anything?
The upper leafs look good for the most part.
If anyone has any suggestions or advice I'd appreciate it.

it is natural for the oldest bottom leaves to turn brown and shrivel up. some will leave the plant to do its thing, some will pluck leaves that have lost vigor, some will lollipop trim their plants 1/3-2/3 of the way up, depending on the strength of your grow light and penetration depth. do different things to the two plants and see if it makes a difference.

Looks like you might have a bit of a cal/mag issue to me. Pretty common if you use ro or rain water. I use cal/mag when I need to. When it comes to bottom growth, if it's not getting any light or will never amount to anything, it doesn't need to be there imo. This will channel more energy to the upper, more productive part of your plant. Good luck !!

Yeah, I understand alot of different methods are done so light gets to the bottom. It is a 600 Watt HPS Cheaper Bulb got them sitting pretty close lately but two direct ac lines blowing on it. I just am hoping not to do any stressful techniques that could return me some hermies. I guess I am just trying to figure what's a safe method if I am 5 days into flowering, should I let it ride.

I can always throw a few cfls 42w 2100k along the bottom, I just don't know if throwing 200+ more watts along the bottom is worthwhile.

Yeah those are mostly from early transplants and I caught onto the Cal/mag issues . From what I've read it's pretty common with Coco. I agree 100% foothills I've had my scissors over some of the nasty bottom leafs but I stopped and came here because I'm just curious if now would be an ok time or If I would be like stressing it to much. Pic from the top taken about a week ago right before flowering. They have grown pretty rapidly since this picture.

Greetings, Well if you are on the fence you can leave them and some will popcorn and some will die and fall off. No big deal just lollipop it next time. 5 days in the plants are still in transition at best you will see flowers on day 8-15. looks like some Heat/RH issue in there.

100% accurate that is a lot of what was going on right before flowering was testing my temps and Humidity. Humidity has been acceptable not really what I want it at the moment due to recent weather changes wasn't much planned for. The humidity fluctuates between 40 and doesn't go above 60 (Is this range ok?). I was also trying to test my HPS and led next to each other hanging at angles. The LED seemed to be the problem started to torch them and it was about 23 inches from the tops. The HPS was more like 15 inches away and was doing great solo.

Thank you for the information. It's kind of what I was edging towards. I just wanted to know if letting them sit there and not get light effects the plant as a whole but If it's not a big deal i'm just gonna let it chill.

You should have included a picture of the whole room so we could see how jam-packed they are. As a rule I'm against trimming in early flower mode, but, if your plants are jammed together it wouldn't hurt to remove lower branches. Cut right at the main stem and leave as small a bump as possible. You want the plant to forget that node and not waste energy trying to re-grow that node.

I would take a long look at your set-up regarding plant size. Many of my indicas will double in height the first 3 weeks or so of flowering. There will also be some widening of the plant too. So figure that in and see where you have plants that are (or will be) rubbing against each other at the lower nodes. Gives you an idea of what branches will be productive and which ones that won't have enough access to the light.
