Small buds, healthy plants?

So you did lollipop.. how far into flower did your lollipop?

Not this batch thats having the small bud problem, I didn't touch these, I did on previous grows since it was a new strain for me and wanted to see how they did.

But this problem batch was grown without any training at all, just flowered and I let them do their thing

There on slabs so they have room. If roots are fuzzy id think the issue lies somewhere else. Ive always gotten an oz easy with 4" cubes. You said youve grown it before. I know alot of "cookie" strains dont get the best # or so ive heard. Id chalk it up to stress, i would definetly flower it out an extra week or two just to see what happens imo. Keep us posted. Heres mine on day 30 of 63-70. See pic. Your buds are small. No pun intended. You use pk boosters? Defoliate? Under 1kw hps?

It could be stress, I'm not sure what woulda stressed them, but definitely could be that.

Yeah, cookie strains grow the smallest buds I've seen, even smaller than og lol. I'll let them flower out an extra week to see if it helps.

These were flowered the same day as the batch I'm having issues with, day 35, you can find the cookie plant I'm sure lol

So you put them in the 3x3 cubes on day 1 flower? If so i think thats an issue. I would suggest doing it 7-10 days prior to flower. How tall were they?

Nah, they were vegged in 3x3x2" cubes for like 16 days then put on the slabs.

I think it was a combo of not enough roots when I flowered and probably some stress from shoving the drip stake into the 3x3 cube and also I use kabob sticks that are shoved in the 3" cubes through into the slabs to secure them to the slab.

The wierd thing is, since I posted this, the buds doubled, don't ask me how or why, this grow is just wierd af and I can't explain it, but the buds are back to normal size now, from pinky nail size to bigger than my thumb, they must have been stunted and a week behind from when they would usually explode

Your a better man than me. I would toss the strain. If i cant get atleast 16-20oz light its gone. I miss growing in cubes. Use to shove 36-42 under a light. Even 64 once. Only way ive ever pulled 2lbs a light. Use to run 8 tables like that, spent a whole day taking clones lol. It was crazy fun tho. But when disaster strikes it hits hard. My aero cloner got unplugged and i lost 200 clones. Never again. Most important thing i learned tho is you have to keep them 100% healthy, or your canopy and # will suffer drastically. Anyways, hydrogaurd is a great product ecspecially if you dont have a chiller. But whatever your doing seems to be working good. I moved onto coco and drip systems...

Oh totally, I'd never run a strain that gets less than a lb, the animal cookies gets about 20zips on an avg grow under a single ended bulb, probably about 2 a light under the double ended bulbs (haven't had a complete run with it yet under the double ended light yet though). She grows really dense flowers, my last grow I did a 32 plant sea of green and got 19 zips but the plants were soooo unhealthy so it hurt the final yield quite a bit. I used to run the same system as you back in the day by the sounds if it and the same thing happened it me lol. I did 36-72 plants a tray and my cloner broke and I lost everythjng one day, freaking sucked. I still use the cloners now though but I make sure it's working proper every day and have some back up pumps in case one fails.

Hydroguard kicks ass! Been using that now for about a year and it works great.

Im switching from slabs to Hugo blocks now and that batch is looking great, I ended up vegging in the Hugo blocks this time and had no stalling when they went into flower, they just took right off so I'll be doing that from now on.

I do 12 plants per 4x4 and usually shoot for 20oz a light when running the cookie strains, it's only 2 zips a plant to hit 1.5lb so that's what I'm shooting for on this next batch I just put in

Glad to see im not the only one who struggles to pull 2 a light....

Im trying new things tho, gonna try a few sativas, also going with 4 vertical bulbs, these horizontal bulbs seem to waste alot of light imo. Well have to wait n see. I also wanna do a kieth robinson trype of setup, spiral pvc wrapped around vertical light with 200 cuts in it. I wanna try to get 5lbs from a light like he claims. Well see. Anyways...

Keeping them bitches 100% healthy is everything. Running them hard.

Ever try gh maxi series? Its a ph balanced powder, maxigrow maxibloom and koolbloom is really all i feed. Maybe some silica and hydrogaurd. N Powders are dirt cheap n last. Fuck those bottled nutes. Id use em up in a day lol. You should try it. I get 15lbs for $90 each. So i spend $275 n lasts me almost three grows, n thats with 8 tables...
