Help dwc newbie

sprouted a new seedling in a cube and when it was about a pinkies length (and it didnt grow for a couple of days) i moved it to dwc
its now doing this with the leaves
ph perfect micro grow bloom
i was very gentle on the nutes - 1/4 rougly 20 ml for a 19 ltr box
the net pot is about an inch away from the water but plenty splashing from the air stone
can i save it ? and what am i doing wrong

Looks fine to me so far. I would wait a bit longer before feeding. They don't need much to survive this early on. Once the first set of true leaves are established, it will respond better to feeding.

It probably needs closer light, but it depends on what light you are using. Be careful with the nutes as squishbox with the Drinky Crow avatar said.

ye i see now it might be a bad pic. the leave tips seem a little brittle (like if they got to much nute when the tip start to turn) you can almost see it on the right side
also its kinda been stagnant since i put it in the dwc (1½weeks) was guessing it was rooting until the leaves lost a little color and tips

also the last day the leaves start pointing more up(the 2 real leaves not the baby ones)

am i just giving to little light or ?

I just tried my first dwc on June 22... my ladies sprouted and I waited until the taproot was just hardly poking out of the bottom of my rockwool... I set it so that the bottom of my rockwool was just like... Hardly in the water... so the whole cube actually got soaked for a while (which I've read can cause stem rot, but never had any issues). Started off with about 500ppm water which was right in the middle of my GH flora trio kit recommendations. Had fluorescent lights at the time just a few inches away... Temps is about 24-28 and water stays about 18-20. After 1.5 weeks they had already exploded with growth.

Do you know your strain? How much light... and what nutrients are you using? What is your temp also?
I'll try my best on suggestions as mentioned it being my first try with dwc, and I'm having mad success.
JN22 first day into hydro, next two pics JL2 loving life, JL8 goddamn.

the light im using is just a regular cfl bulb (at 1m distance its a little far away imo but better than to close i guess) got a big cfl for later when it gets some leaves
nutes are ph perfect series from advanced nutrients (i had heard good things and really liked the no ph bs)
i added a little hydro stone in the bottom before i set my cube in the net pot thats prob what i did wrong(to late to change it i guess)
(i turned up my air pump so i got more splashing lets see if it works in a day or two)
also since yesterday ive been using a flower duster to water it a bit from the top but i dont know if its even needed

added some new pic's just in case but i hope that the increased pumping will solve it
i be crying when my plant be dyings4 001.jpg s4 002.jpg s4 003.jpg s4 005.jpg

does seem to saturate the netpot and temps arround 24-25c at plant level
strain is barney's farm liberty haze

Hmm what is your ppm? Not too much for the little gal is it... and as for lights... I had only a 42 or 43w 6500k over top of my seeds until they sprouted with the heat pad underneath... that June 22 pic there, when I swapped em to the hydro I bumped up my light from one 42w to 6x 42w and a 250w huge cfl I got online with a hood and everything. Keeping em within a foot or so away... just made sure there is a fan constantly going. Temps never went over 28.

As for you mentioning the hydro pebbles beneath the rockwool... that shouldn't be an issue, the roots will work their way around em. I had a layer of hydroton underneath mine also. Also I've never foliage fed mine... humidity is even low as balls probably 20ish

Pump it a bunch more light I would say!

had an extra port on my pump so put in an extra stone (got kinda noisy when i turned it up)
havent gotten arround to getting a ppm-meter .. could be that since i found out today that the water in my area goes up to about 400 which is terribad
ill get some demineralized water tomorrow proberbly blend it with some tap to keep kost down.. unless thats a bad idea ?

gotta say thanks for the responses so far .. really good to have a little help when ur learning :)

this is my third grow (first dwc) the first two were almost 10 years ago .. reborn noobie

What's your ph sitting at? I would check that... I've had some weird growth when I first started because I didn't realize the ph rises slowly over time... or at least with my nutes... and so It was 7.1 before I downed it again to 5.5 ( i always go to 5.5 and check it every 4th or 5the day and it's usually 5.7-5.9 and down she goes to 5.5) ... then she started to grow normal again... once I had to toss my water cuz I added too much nutes for the next phase of growth and the plant started getting spotty and crisp sort of on the edges... ppm was at about 450-500 to start... wanted to get to 700-800 next and ended up at 1500 somehow lmao
Since I've gotten a tds/ppm meter too just like my ph one... 20$ish for both on amazon

Your light is way to far away. Cfl should be like inches away. I have a 600w about 40cm off some new clones in a cool tube
