I must interject on this as I've seen GG twist truths & say the dumbest shit about other companies as well as be rude as fuc to growers.
PLC made the Amare SE-350 w/o the chrome reflectors, colored monos to enhance the white (but wants a high CRI), & a UVB bulb. I doubt his has insulated wiring either but I could be wrong. Same driver too all running at 50% power.
And after making the same light as the first company to do so, w/o all the bells n whistles, he tries to say Amare copies him.
And constantly puts Amare down.
Then he uses the same components every other decent white cob light company uses & claims to be the most efficient with the highest quality components.
If I were another company, I'd be nervous to put everything that goes into my light on the web-site just to be safe from PLC copying it.
Then, while being the most efficient light on the market using all the same parts & drive currents as everyone else, still not having not 1 light in his line-up that can yield a pound on its own.
What's the point of making grow lights if you don't even make one that is a 600 watt HPS equivalent???? As an HPS grower, the first thing I learned was not use any light less then a 600 watt HPS s primary lighting!!!!!
Sure, I get it for tent growers but outside of a tent Enviornment, it makes NO sense except for side lighting or supplementary.
So, he doesn't make 1 light that equals a 600 HPS (minimum light requirements for growing pot) & claims to be the best choice for all circumstances.
That lazy, you couldn't put a few 5000k's on a separate switch for veg. I do not recommend vegging under 35k.
Anyways, I just don't like the way you talk about Amare & the way I saw you treat Stephenj as well as talk about other companies. when your light offers sooooooooo much less. Amare's the same price even for the SE-450, which is on sale more often then not!
If I were getting an all white cob light id get a BLONDES or JOHNSON all day over yours. They can yield a pound. They offer at least the minimum light requirement to grow in one fixture.
Amare for me though!
Plus it appears every shill & troll on this forum works for you.
Please Stop. I don't want to speak the truth about you REAL Talk.

Smart guy is a nice way of saying super nerd (great edit out of context though). Not trying to offend intelligent real contributors of the facts & truth. Just you & your PLC puppies.

Context? See that tiny arrow next to the quote? Maybe you can learn something today. It would make a nice change of pace I'd imagine.

Thinking of buying my first LED Light
This is how this all started?
Lol

I'm new to a thread/COBs and all the regulars get into a cock measuring contest over nothing really.

Thanks @ttystikk appreciate any help
Thanks Mark @welight appreciate your help
Thanks @REALSTYLES

I'm curious why you always say that.
Why do we have to go to your thread to search high and low for barely anything in there. YOu don't show your cobs. You barely show anything to do with them. YOu used to be a loud mouth and not even have them. Recommending and boosting in every thread possible before you ever had them. Then you finally go them, god forbid you post some pics or results. Only in your thread is what it appears. But when you do go there...there is nothing.

Am I missing something?
I'm new here, but it seems like you just want to start shit.

I came to " if you are new to LED ....... And want help choosing what to buy" thread.
On a forum of like minded guys, for some banter/help/suggestions/criticism.

Not for a shit fight bro

Even if what your saying is true, it's unnecessary bullshit. I'm reading

@ttystikk journal now. I'm enjoying the read.
Whats the problem?
Hey guys stop fighting I stole the idea of 1+1=2 and 2+2=4 that I've learned from. I'm tired of swinging my dick around you guys should be too. I've been around since July 19, 2010.lets move forward, I did.
I thought this is the "go to" thread for discussions and help.

What with all the bitches these days?
Seriously, unless the " how to " is patented.
It's s free market.
Let the "manufactures" compete.

Personally, I thought I was going to get a few links to "buy now" pages of the best COB lights.
Bingo, I'm ready to test COBs out.
Instead it seems like it's all DIY type of lighting.

I might wait a little and the get @welight to build me what ever is the best as per his professional opinion.

Not interested in becoming a lighting expert my self.
I just want to save some power in lighting and cooling utilising some technology that I have not experienced yet.

You all seem to rave on about em, but don't seem to get along with each other.

You old COBs have some issue, lol

I can't blame anyone in-particular for the change over the last year. Cobs are still cutting edge but not new, and there's not a lot of innovation to be had IMO from either design perspectives or spectrum enhancement. Some people may disagree with that last bit but I strongly suspect the average GPPW will remain around 4 regardless of what enhanced spectrums are used.

You have a shitty Space lamp? maybe a bit under 4 GPPW. Shitty Space lamps are mostly just inefficient but the understanding of the Mcree curve is wide enough now that white is the future. You have a monster 3000-4000K 70-90 CRI light at mid level efficiency? 4 GPPW. You have a 70% efficient lamp with enhanced red and UV? 4 GPPW. A lamp that puts off the same spectrum as the Sun? 4 GPPW. There's room for optimization but nothing exciting to my mind and efficiency is still king. It's something that needs to happen from a yield perspective and will happen but from a hobby perspective it's not boner material. I'm keeping an eye on the 260 PPFD thread. That's interesting. I could never bring myself to drop it that low. What also interesting is the way in which spectrum affects the morphology, and that's cool and I suspect it will become a more discussed topic here backed by objective data, even if it's only a few people exploring it. There's only so long one can marvel at efficiency figures and morphology is something that sorely needs to be addressed by the hobby community, so I hope people will start experimenting in that direction with some show and tell.

Da fuk? No he wasn't! You're as wrong on this as you are on most of your posts. You got a dog in this fight? If so, let's see it. If not, butt out with the disinformation campaign, fool!
Of course i have a dog in this fight. Im not sure what you want to see though? Where the fuck were you the day he posted led vs hps yield results, lab results, countless of growers data. He's literally showing all of us. With epic fucking bud. Tested bud at that, he's not running his mouth like you talking about how cobs produce more potent buds. This game is all about buds bro. If you for 1 day logged on to learn about plant health you'd be a better gardener. Your so caught up in what you think you are its clogged your brain and your plants are suffering. If you think your going to start a business showing people how to grow and save money you better step up your game. With your cake bud pics and a few others no one would let you in the fucking door dude. Look at 707's buds dude, thats where you want to be. That type of shit is how you get your foot in the door. Realstyles too Captains too, your no where near that. But what ever dog you want me to bring as you put it, I'm willing.
