I got bananas...

So I got bananas, prolly from heat stress or going to long in harvest. Harvesting it this Saturday. But anyway, I'm worried about the whole pollen is possibly now everywhere thing.

Has anyone had this problem, how do I clean my tent for the next grow thats going in there? How big of a deal is this?

Most of us have been there at one time or another. I would use a water/bleach solution(id use 1tablespoon per gallon of water, bleach is strong stuff), then leave it unzipped to dry out.

how long have you had them? do you have a pix of them? can you tell if they've opened and dropped pollen yet, this is the reason why i asked for the pix..
if they're some what recent, they might not of had the time to pollinate anything as of yet.. and even if they have, and it's only been in the last week or so, it's not really enough time to develop seeds imo..

They're probably too small for me to get good enough of a pic, it's hard to tell if they opened or not since it's my first time dealing with them. I guess I'd say they havn't opened altho I did first see a very small start of it a couple weeks ago and just never realized that's what it was till now and as I look closer I see more that have developed on other buds. Yeah I doubt I have any seeds, i guess I first saw it around maybe week 10 and it's now week 12. Idk timeline for this but yeah

Here's pics of the plant but not the banana's, I'll go see if I can take a pic of them.

usually around 3-6 weeks, strain dependent, and depending on environmental factors such as heat and humidity as well..
fuck :( week 6 of a 7 - 9 wk strain only spotted a couple in a whole week so hoping to just keep catching them early enough done nothing but stare at them the whole 12 hr on cycle

they look nice though anon.. the good news is there's no proof that seeded bud is any less potent then sensi.. and in fact, some people think the actual is true, that seeded bud can in fact be more potent then sensi.. i'm not so sure on the latter though..

How does one get them? I've never had them. Kinda scary to have to throw away a perfectly nice plant or have to harvest to early.
many things can cause a hermie.. imo, despite what breeders want you to believe, it's largely down to genetics.. unstable parents will carry that gene to it's offspring..
other factors, such as environmental, include but not limited to, stress, flowering period being messed with, meaning an interruption in the dark period, more than a single time, say due to a faulty timer.. heat stress, or some plants will throw a late flower nanner in order to try and keep the strain alive.
and as noted above, there's no reason to throw away a plant simply because it's seeded.. maybe if you have a room full of females and spot a nanner early enough, you can either remove the plant with the balls, or try and pluck off the balls as you find them, sometimes they will grow back, other times a plant will only grow one or two balls and if you catch and remove them in time, they won't return..

Thanks man. I hear ya, yeah I'm not worried about this girl, next batch I got three strains going for the first time instead of just one at a time so worried about bringing the next one in the tent.

Thanks for the info mate. Seems like hermie season. So many people have been getting them. I think people should out these breeders cause if its genetics then everyone should know.
