Sweeteners?

I am looking for a way to feed the microherd without imparting that sweet taste on my buds.

I am thinking that cutting the sweets after week 6 is the way I'm gonna go.

Is there any sweetener that doesnt change bud flavor? I want something that just makes it taste and smell better/stronger. Organic, of course.

Blackstrap unsulphured molassess. The whole idea of sweetener is kinda bullshit. The carbohydrates feed the microherd but it's not like your plant absorbs raw sugar. It makes its own sugar. It exudes excess sugars out of roots to feed the microherd. In flower when the plant is consuming more sugar and doesn't have the excess to feed the microherd then adding a sugar source will keep them fed. But you don't want to overdo it tho because the microherd need to be eating each other but they love the sugar more so you don't want to give them too much and have them choosing that over breaking down what they need to.

Take a look at Botanicares Sweet line.
Not trying to knock your hustle bro but Botanicare's sweet line is just magnesium sulfate (Epsom Salts), and watered down molasses. So it's got its carbohydrates...but the benefits and vitamins you should be getting from using molasses, you're missing those when you use sweet. They don't survive the water down process.

You can buy molasses and a large bag of Epsom Salts for less than ten dollars.

1 quart of Botanicare sweet is 15 to 18 dollars. Seems like a lot to pay for watered down ingredients.

Is 1 teaspoon molasses per litre ok? I don't really know how to use this. This is my second grow and I used top max on my first grow.

Also shall I use it every watering? I used the forum search but I can't seem to find a straight answer. I'll have to experiment a bit I guess.

You kinda do have to experiment a bit...lol

I do 1/2 a tablespoon per gallon of water every three weeks. I used to do every two weeks but it was too much.

That'll work ^^. In a lot of the world it's also called Treacle (?).

RR is spot on.

Wet
i'm a writer and I LOVE finding new words...
treacle.
Good one.

British term for molasses.
ALSO has a secondary usage, this one I like.
  • cloying sentimentality or flattery:
"enough of this treacle—let's get back to business"

  • thank you for the new word
