From seeds, two of my diesel plants look alike. The third seed produced this plant that looks very different, at least in so far as the bud formation. On one of my pics you see a flat bud looking like a marigold in the center... even with different DNA, could the buds be so varied for one plant?

Happens all the time. 
It's hard to reflect the deep green because of the orange light. Here it is with a green filter... very close to how it looks. The frost ( I believe they are tricombs? ) is whiter though.

Think of each seed as an individual birth. Just as in humans two offspring from the same parent are rarely alike, this can also be seen in cannabis.

A clone is a copy genetically of the plant it was taken from.

Yea it definitely helps the understanding process. Relating to people gives an easier platform to understand.
