Where am I

Hell

Hell ya! That's the truth. Can't even believe how HH treated me. They could've just accepted the light back & id be here saying something all together differant. It yields what it yields but some good ideas that may work out for them if they care to perfect it. But NOPE, they literally sell you a light they already know doesn't work for shit & have the ordasity to be cocky about n say their for Professionals mainly. Only commercial clients that grow in warehouses buy their lights. Ya right.

Hey, did you guys know the new Solar Pro Series is now optional to get a HO (High Output) version? I heard they're finally going to offer COBs running @ 70% power instead of the normal 50% for that BS efficiency shit.
I think you all know my opinion on this matter. CRANK UP YOUR COBS PUSSYS has always been my modo.
I want more weed way more then I want to save a few bucks a month on my electric bill. WAY MORE!!!! So ill be going all HO !! Hell ya man. It's a dream come true!!!
It is a trade off when running LED at higher power. Much like overclocking a CPU. If you have the proper cooling then it is not an issue. Heat will kill any electronic component it basically will shorten its life span. HPS has always ruled the roost because of its "raw power". Those days are coming to an end. Yeah I get the whole efficiency thing and it has its place but if you don't have the intensity your yield will suffer. It no different than someone who buys a very fuel efficient car vs a "gas hog" that has power to spare..

Just a word of caution regarding whether to use the lenses. I only have ~ 12" to spare above my canopys, which is way too close. Burned a bunch of primary leafs
I did the same at 24" It looked like some sort of real bad deficiency. Within 2 days with the lights being raised cured the intensity problem.

Personally, I don't count flip until I see the first pistils
Im the same. dont count til they start actually flowering. If you transplant from say a 1 gallon into a 5 gallon and throw em right in, it can be upwards of two weeks veg still before they flower. imho

The girls under the pro 9. I put them in flower 2 weekends ago. Last 2 weeks I mixed veg/bloom nutes. Just changed today using all bloom nutes. Would this make it week 2 or 3 of flower?
I'm telling ya, I'd love to own a Pro-9. Like you don't even know. Even if i couldn't achieve the footprint from lack of ceiling hieght, I'd love to grow with that intensity & penetration as long as It wasn't to much.
How are liking it? I see your ceilings are around 7.5'-8' maybe? Do you have to flower your plants at 1 month veg?

I vegged them a little too long like month and a half. I was waiting to finish the flower tent. It's a gorilla 5x9. Think ceiling is little over 6ft? I got the Johnson cx9 right next to it. Going to run a flood table with some lollipops as well

Just set them both to full power & put the 2 center lenses on the Amare. Those things make it like twice as bright. Figure I'll try full power for a few days to how they react. image.jpgimage.jpg

New mini-split?! Summer months suck!

Your plants are looking great man.

I did the same thing with the lenses. On 3 lights I did every other row. I'm stretching the 4x4 a little so adding all 6 would hurt my coverage a little to much. I'm planting musical chairs with all these different strains. Some love the intensity while others seem to be way to sensitive. I can't wait to do a journal on the Amare's but I'm struggling still with humidity.

Yea humidity is a bitch. The air that comes out of mine is hot but when I open the tent to clean the outside air makes the dehumidifier air cool

Do you hand trim?
Yes I do. Takes about 6-8 hours per plant per person, some strains can be done in 4-5 though. My buddy owns the Twister2. Costed him around $7000 though. It does a great job but I really like the way my bud looks hand trimmed.

Yup, finally am going to get my mini-split. $1900 for the 36,000 BTU over @ BeastCoast. They got great deals. Like $800-$1000 less then Sears n Lowes last I checked. Real excited!
Upgraded to a 200amp service utilizing 100amp availability just for my grow rooms. All running on 220 of course. Now it's time to take the next step by adding 2 more 600's & the mini-split.
It was a tough call though cuz In the winter I simply use a 6" inline fan ducted to the outside running off a $90 photo-thermostat. Works perfect & saves on energy.
Ordering my first Pro-4 tomorrow & 2 more within 2 weeks from that, as well as 2, Pro-3's that I plan to link together to make 1,700watt Amare.
So, this room I'm using will be about a 6.5'x10' grow area using 1, SE-450, 3, Pro-4's & 2, Pro-3's. Also planning on getting some 4' UVB T-5's to go between them.
Also considering getting some far-red going on to , to run after lights out for 20min. I'm not sure if that's worth it though? Been studying on how they put the girls to bed faster, giving them a full nights rest rather then them taking a few hours to fall asleep. Might just run the FR w/ everything else if I even go down that road. I think the Amares have a great combination as is.
Last time I saw your girls they were stacking real nice! Almost ready to chop? Got some pics brother?
