How many square feet will two 1000w HPS lights cover?

...Hate to break it to you but if one bulb covers 5x7 then two are only gonna do 5x14 or 10x7. it would take to "double" the area.

Hydrofarm Daystar non AC. W/Hortilux HPS bulb. Will it really cover an area as big as 5x7? That's not too long?

1000w with a standard sun spot type hood usually gives the specs you said.

However in your circumstance you could see benefit from using cheaper umbrella type reflectors for a wider and more even coverage for up to 8'x8'. As well you could also use Cool Tubes which give more like a 4'x6' patch but more intense light like a spot hood due to air cooling and the ability to get the light closer. In ideal conditions you could use cool tubes in conjunction with umbrella hood reflectors if heat will be a problem.
