Hi RIU,

Just a heads up - the images on our website have been updated. You will notice that all of the new pics reflect the placement of the heat sink mounting holes (4) located at the edge of each heat sink for easy mounting to most any size aluminum L-channel or 80/20 frame. Drilled and tapped with cap bolt hardware for mounting.

Based on user feedback, we have also started introducing color coded wiring between the individual COBs so that those with complicated frame designs won't have problems hooking things up. Also takes the guess work out of things in the event a wire comes loose during installation.

Got the package, quick shipping, now I am not ready for them lol. I might just hang em up hilly billy style. 250 watts replacing a 600watts, a fuking hot 600w lol, can't wait. Back at growing 100% LEDs!!
I saw a low profile round chandelier and thought about a ghetto design using heavy duty zip ties to secure heatsinks. I'll use angle but it did cross my mind :)

by the looks of it, im building mine with angle iron, ghetto style, I dont plan to move it once its hanging.

the heatsinks are really hot to the touch, I can barely keep my hand on them, is it because the design is meant to be mounded unto an aluminum frame (that also acts as a heat sink) I have mine on iron angles...

Is this going to kill the COBs in no time if I don't do anything about it? what I am thinking of doing right now is hang mini fans over each COB. The room is overall way cooler but I want to make sure the COBs last the full 50000hours...

the DIY bars (greengenes design) I built are cooler to the touch, the heatsinks are, they do have computer fans over them...

As long as I can keep my hand on the heatsink the COBs are probably not roasting right?

I cut off the chip lok arms so it's flat on top which makes a perfect flush fit with the Stella HB

I have 3 more kits to assemble.
Ooooooh you mean the 3590 adapter for angelinas. Ya I'm using them! But if you cut off the arms, how does it stay on afterwards? It doesnt? Is it just there to give clearance for the chip lok wire inserts?

Maybe take a few more descriptive pics? :) I wanna use these eventually. But don't you get a huge gap of light between the lens and the sink?

The lens doesn't have chip lok features. So it needs a flat surface. image.jpeg
Inside the lens there's a circle that fits flat to the cxb or adapter to pull and direct the light.
The stand offs allow me to maintain the lens integral shape on top of the adapter. Otherwise I could just solder the cxb but I like the ideal holder

Awww. So you need to buy another set up adapters that you can sacrifice the locking arms on for the stella. I get it meow.
