Actual long term flavors tend to come out in longer cures kept around 60 - 65 RH.....Bovita makes RH packs that you can drop in jars to literally "hold" many RH levels you might like to try. I like the 62's..I'll take a look at that. Yeah I have done a ton of reading on drying and curing. I have 5 humidity Meters to put in my jars so I can get it perfect. And for drying I was going to hang the whole plant. Super dry in Colorado so I figured that would be the best way. I hear you get more flavor that way too.
Cool beans! That's all I ask on the subject!
In reality. I simply try and suggest!
Your one of the few polite and open minded' that take the time to explore the information. Instead of those who chose to believe some magazine grower and his tainted views!
This (flushing) goes back to not long after I started growing! It took a MAJOR cigar makers curing manager's explanation of the science behind what they do and why (how the tobacco is effected BY the cure and what changes IN the product occur that make it perfect to smoke). For me to understand that this "myth" of "flushing" was derived by logic, that was polluted by ignorance of science!
Please feel free to do what you chose to in the end!
