Hi guys i am new to the site. Been lurking a while. Been growing about 2 years.

My current set up: 3x3 gorilla tent, 315w ceramic metal halide light, vortex s line 6 inch fan, black ops carbon filter, 6 inch phat muffler and 6 inch phresh intake filter.

I just had to nuke my plants with spinosad to kill a small thrips infestation.

Are we just Bullshitting here? Cause I don't want to jack the thread.
But if we re just saying hi and welcome and all that, can someone tell about these led lights.
I did the bulk of my research about 7 years ago and it was pretty clear that hid was the way to go. Have things changed? Are there leds out there than can compete?

The 315 lec is a light emitting ceramic light, led is light emitting diode, two completely different animals all together

First things first, welcome too riu!
Hopefully that infection clears up for you. Nothing worse than watching your plants health decline slowly n not being able too do anything about it lol

Ok now into the LED question, the technology has come a long long way since you did your research. There are many led panels that will compete with hid, possibly surpassing them but and this is a big BUT, you get what you pay for with leds. If you get a cheap one it's not gunna be anywhere near the hids. But of you got the extra cash too put down for a quality panel u can def match or pass the hids.

Happy growin guys!!
