Top plant barely yes, second plant will also re-grow but your yield will be miniscule. Say 5-10 grams cured. Not worth the effort.
Next time (I've done this a lot) start your harvest by cutting off the top half of the plant. You want your re-grower to be nearly half as tall as it was at harvest. Completely harvest the top half as soon as possible. Wait too long and all the little sugar leaves curl into the buds and make trimming a nightmare. After finishing with the top, start removing the buds more than 8 inches or so from the main stem. Ideally you want to leave a double handful of greenery concentrated at or near the base of the plant. You just cut them down a bit too much, eh?
