Hey Guys,
To get straight to it, im wanting to do my first bho run but i dont have a vac purge system. Is there an efficient way of purging otherwise or is vac system the only legit way. (I was thinking two 40 c days under laserlite/perspex decking cover will do it, considering heat and time for butane to escape).
As stated, going to be 1st run, not looking for perfection but a potent product with no residual butane.

Peace to All,
Bubblenut

vac purge is the only way. save up for a vac oven .don't make bho til then. Make sure you have a closed loop system. distiller and gas traps too before attempting to make bho.

it's takes a few days of vac purging to remove everything.

You should get it tested before dabbing. To make sure it's clean

lmao. Are you serious?

I keep seeing all this stuff about bho and purging. And I admit, the consistency was much better but "get it tested"? Come on bro

What I haven't seen are people saying exactly HOW it's bad for me. Cause lots of stuff in life are bad for me.

What I also fail to see are people saying butane is non toxic to humans! Would be nice if people would add context to their claims.

Do a little research. Butane is very harmful. Butane has benzene, propane propellants, hydrocarbon propellants, propane, cyclopropane dimethylmethane, freon, propylhydride, trimethylene, methylpropane, petroleum.

You need to distill butane before using and vac purge for a few days to remove all those chemicals. They all purge off at different rates and different temps.

Never buy butane by the can. Get N butane by the gallon .

Smoking dirty bho will leave crystallized deposits in your lungs causing pulmonary fibrosis and/ or small cell carcinoma.

That's why you should have bho tested before trying.

It depends if its for selling to medical patients for all that. No way someone's gonna fork out hundreds for personal. If you want a purge oven at minimal you can get a personal sized one online between $100-$200. I use an open ended glass bho tube for blasting. Closed Lupe cost an arm and a leg. Mine costed me $20. Just do the research.

Yeah I've heard of it. You can use everclear to winterize BHO. It releases the butane and removes the plant wax's and junk.

ah gotcha. i misunderstood. rso, what i was talking about all the extraction is done via ethyl alcohol. taking all your trim and shake after harvest, simmering over low heat, then running through a (i think)125 micron filter and then further reducing via dbl boiler stirring to release ethyl alcohol. dunno if this is the "text book" way to do it, just how i've seen it done.

You don't know me then. I have a guy that blasts my trim. And I own my own 3 gal chamber, 5cfm 2 stage vac pump. I always put mine in the chamber and purge it just to make sure all the bad butane is gone. Money is no object for my personal safety.nor my patients.

That's good when dealing with patients you can't play around. Wish people had that kinda set up around here but not were I'm from. Kitchen bho is all we have here. I only trust mine around here. Dealers don't give a fuck about health. Mines pretty good for what I have to work with. I have the knowledge.

Dude, my 3gal.chamber and 5cfm 2 stage pump and silicone stick on adjustable heater was only like 400.00. Can never understand why people put a value on their and others health? It's like growing mj, but with out the much needed items to do so.

Yeah they have miniature purge chambers online for like100-150. I'm thinking about it. It's for personal use. I live on disability and don't have much money to throw around. I'm a disabled veteran. Kinda have to do it myself.
