Do you have a link? As far as I know the signatures will stay until next time because it's a constitutional amendment not a statutory initiative.

Turns out, it's not really dead. It has just hit a sliding scale where early signatures now have to be discarded. If I have this right...316,000 signatures within 180 days is the goal. And it doesn't really matter what 180 days (5 months)...just that the first signature and the last signature are with 180 days of each other.
