What do people know about the 48/72 hour last days of darkness before harvest day

WTF?

You are comparing leaving a bud out on a coffee table for a month in same way to 3 days of darkness BEFORE cutting?
I'm saying that it takes a long while for light (and O2) to degrade THC, actual studies done by forensic scientist for the police determined a 7% loss on average in a year. My test verified this for me, like I said everyone should test it for themselves.

My point is harvesting in the dark, or a few days of dark or before the lights come on doesn't save any THC from degrading. It takes a lot longer than a few days

as i believed the dark period or harvesting before the lights come on has nothing to do with thc degrading its a debate on going and you will get many different oppinions but apparently during the dark periods plants store nutrients in the roots so harvesting during dark before lights come on some believe elimates nutrients / chemicals that are in the roots and if lights on those would be mobile throughout the plant i do give dark periods before harvest but cant really say i notice any difference really if there is any its minute

let it sit for 3 days with out watering will dry it . and make it a total bitch to trim . other then that there is no difference . i have done it power outage 3 days here so i just decided to harvest it was perfect timing at least . but no there was no difference at all .

say it aint so power outage for 3 days WTF, where are you if u don't mind me asking?

Yes I agree I did the 24 hours on these and they looked exactly same as 24 hours previous I have a X 30 jewelrs loupe so could really inspect the trichomes and see

Very sound advice there phatlewtz I'm defo going to let it have a go I can't see any harm from doing so I'm very interested in the packing with ice too and yes can't wait to sample my darlings
I attempted this method as well and will be doing so again. I didn't have anything to compare it to because it was my 1st run and also i tested it on all the plants. I also placed ice cubes on top of the mulch.

I would suggest to maybe leave one out and see the difference for yourself. At least thats what i think ill be doing next time .

Well sounds legit to me will try it again for 42 hours next time and compare it to this run the smell of lemon on my fingers and my clothes is unreal I have just literally cut them about 20 mins ago

also the dry period is supposed to be accompanied by drowning the roots to starve them of oxygen and i remember a old skool grower saying its pointless in doing a dark period without the flooding of the roots but i dont like flooding the pots as harvest time the soil weighs alot more to remove but alot of theorys out there but imo you can harvest any time when the plant is ready and the key is all in a nice slow but steady dry and a propper cure wins hands down every time against all these old wives tales
