I've never had that issue but I would definitely remove the top layer of soil and mix in some dry new soil on top and maybe check your local hydro shop for a safe fungicide. Is it possible you overwatered. Is it all organic soil by chance?

that there is, white blight: I could pretend to be smart and google the genus name but: in the same google search you can find out how to get rid of it. there is a few different ways.

If its organic soil....its not a bad thing. I had that with this grow and it was because my room was too warm and I just watered. I looked it up and it was good actually. Not all fungus is bad...and most are benificial. I just threw a little more soil on it and watched how much I watered and there has been nooo problems.

LOL that made me giggle, his mold is growing soil!! . do you know why it looks like that though?
No, I've seen a web cooking super soil, and mycorrhizae (sp?) on roots of clones. Never seen anything that thick. I've only dabbled with organics here and there I don't have any real knowledge of it.

Or he tried to flush it with bacon grease:bigjoint:

Oh for the,,,,,, damn kiddies that's a beneficial fungus that's showing it's mycelium - (hyphae mass).
There are many (or should be) differing fungus at work in your soil. I make a rather fungal heavy bio soil when I build...

Never remove it, or disturb it. It's the veg stage of the fungus!

IF IT LOOKS LIKE A MASS OF LITTLE TINY THREADS OR STRINGS IN AND ON YOUR SOIL = LEAVE IT BE!

STFW????? That's not powdery mildew!

leave it!!! that is one hell of beard nice and thick. most organic growers strive for that thick of a beard. unless you see your plants health fall, that's some good shit. LEAVE IT!
