Hi fellas! I was just curious if anyone has any efficiency percentage #'s on vero29's ((35k)x700ma)? I'm new to the game and I haven't quite figured out the equation for efficiency par:heat watts. So, Humbly, I need a bit of help. I know that the CXB3590s will run aprox 64% @ 700 ma according to growmou5, but I haven't run across any reliable data for vero 29s. Id really love to save some money. Any input would be much appreciated guys.

Here you go spcFLETCH https://www.rollitup.org/t/cob-efficiency-spreadsheets.865238/
Scroll about half way down and the updated vero spreadsheets. Hope that is what you meant. Thanks SupraSPL!

Pretty sure those numbers are for the Gen5 veros. So they are somewhat old. Gen 7 numbers look pretty impressive ,they are supposed to release the Gen 7 line sometime this month. Compared to Gen 5 the Gen 7's have close to a 25% increase in lumens. Might be worth the wait to get the new veros when they release this month.

What kind of coverage area does anyone recommend six vero 18's 4000k 80 cri running at 1050ma? They really stretched in the week that I put together the light and they were only getting window light. Ill be tying them down so that the canopy penetration will only need to be about 12"-18". Any ideas will help. Thanks

You could veg a 4x4 with that pretty easy. Flowering though I would say a 2 x2 to 2.5x2.5. The Gen 7s should be able to do 2.5.

Did you used to frequent the dank den?
Sorry just seen this. No I didnt spcFLETCH. I dont think i have posted on any site except 420 mag. (never again) I dont post very often. I like it here though! Stick around, Im sure any questions you have, the answer can be found somewhere on here.:joint:

"If" one were building a veg only light for a 2x3 how many vero's would you run and which model?
1-4 of the newest at 700-1050ma would work for verging that area.
And I would suggest v22 or vero 29s

Agree, I was thinking (3) V29s on a HLG-120H-C1050B(or A), for a cheaper and readily available option. You could add more chips & another driver if you prefer more density. Maybe, if you have some vertical space, (2) chips @ 1400-1750 could work if you can find an efficient driver combo.

I honestly think 2 vero 29s at 1050 would veg a 2x3 just fine. 700 would work. 1400 would grow fast. Lol

I have (2) MW 240H-1050B drivers sitting here.......

Just looking for an affordable DIY option and looking outside the Cree box as with the Citizen thread @JorgeGonzales started, but I know nothing about Vero.............

I just want more even coverage across the canopy instead of certain high PPFD reading hot spots to be able to say hey look what my light can do. But as I said vero's are a new beast to me so learning here.......

If I went this route this light would be preparing my plan ts to flower under the 315 W LEC which is not going anywhere lol.....
