first hatvest ?

Whst is the normal amount of weeks needed for flowering? I am currently on week 6-7, so i know its almost time. But not totslly sure, besides trichome color, of when to harvest by weeks. I know also strain and set up and enviroment are a huge factor. But just for my knowledge, what is tge normal weeks needed to flower a weed plant. As she is sleeping right now i cant take pics. I will post some in an hour or so. Thanks to all who post their know how for me!!!!!

There is no normal, some strains finish in 7 weeks some take 20 weeks

I've got strains that finish in 42 days, and 1 that goes nearly 120 days...I will say a lot of gear is aimed at commercial production and can technically be chopped at 60 days when needed with no real loss except maybe couch lock and a slight amount of yield...a lot of people sometimes let strains go to long and lose out on a specific high/taste for a nominal increase in weight.....i should point out its rare you can chop a plant from seed @ 60 days, clones are usually much faster as they are already mature...experience is really the only good way to know exactly what you want out of a plant as far as ripeness....I try and use a trio of gauges to judge with....overall look/pistils/trichs....lots of ways to skin a cat, wish you the best of luck! After you run a strain a few times and learn all its quirks you'll get a fairly standard chop time....gets to be old hat..

Lol damn. Thanks for the answer back. So basically just watch the combs n harvest when cloudy/ amber color....will all lebes b tricomb covered, or just most?

My first hatvest was my last. I now buy my hats and vests seperately. It gives me more options and people don't make fun of me as much.

Strain dependent, but you'd want to view the trichs on the buds themselves not the leaves
