Exhaust fan question

Is there a need to have my exhaust fan blowing full blast all the time? I have a 4x4 tent, and I know they make speed controllers for fans. My tent is right next to where I watch TV in my apartment. Its kinda loud.

You don't need to have it on all the time. The reason you exhaust it is to keep the temperatures in the zone you want, and to keep fresh air (co2) available for the plants.
If you have supplemental co2 and a way to control the temperature you don't even need to exhaust the air.

I have mine set at the lowest setting...there's no need to have it full on; as long as it exhausts it's all good.
Mine has a thermostat so it kicks in if temps get too high...but it never gets that high.
Speed controllers are good, and cheaper than they used to be these days, as well as the aforementioned thermostat (:

Does a exhaust fan bring down temps a lot? Will a strong one do the trick? It's gettin warm here and temps are hittin 100 in the tent, trying to avoid ac if I can, don't mean to jack the thread

The exhaust fan is my first line of defence to bring temps down...
And fresh air intake..
And air cooled hoods...
I have a 6in inline duct fan exhausting a 600 watt air cooled hood, it's rated 160 cfm and the tent is a 3x3, going to go up to a 4x4 tomorrow, not good enough?

Seems okay...you could run the light through the night if temps are still a problem, but I think you'll be good

I don't know how you can grow without it
