i believe you are correct.. from what i can find georgians attacked peace keepers in ossetia and russia retaliated.

as far as your second comment is concerned im sorry but thats a very ignorant thing to say.. do you realize that because we are allies with georgia, and the fact that russia has already said that anyone who helps georgia will be attacked, that our aid could end up leading to WW3? and if russia calls to arms against the us the chineese will most likely follow and it truly will be a world war... keep in mind china has the largest standing army in the world with a million plus troops... imagine the possiblities

Isn't it sad when this is happening and the most important thing on the majority's mind is who is winning American Idol. The American people have been so brainwashed that they believe that our government is right in any world conflict and that we are so powerful that the rest of the world would never fuck with us. I guess Ignorance really is bliss. I see the whole scenario as plain as day, almost entirely in sync with the Bible. Maybe Obama is the Anti-Christ, who really knows. He certainly can draw a crowd.

I honestly don't know where it will go- I'm hoping no where. Russia sure as hell doesn't want a war with the West, but we seem hell bent on starting up one with them. I don't expect Russia to lay down and be trampled over.. but I don't see us backing down. A war like that would be devastating for everyone's economy all around, hence why the E.U. won't even really sanction Russia for their "bad actions"..

I could see it amounting to West Vs. East (Russia, China, Iran).. though I pray it doesn't.

I hadn't paid that much attention to the Georgia conflict. I had origionally thought that Russia Attacked Georgia because they thought we were busy and wouldn't notice.

Georgia attacked S. Ossetia, a Russian onclave in Georgia, killing 1600++ Russian Kurds. Russia came in with a vengence to stop the killing and the MSM started with Russia attacked Georgia. Are those assholes crazy??? do they want to start WWIII?? I just don't get this one. Just remember that it was John McCain that jumped with the threats towards Russia, what an ignoramatic warmonger. Do you guys actually think if he is elected he won't start WWIII??

as for Obama, i use to think that he could be the Anti-Christ. but i believe he isn't. in my opinion, the movie Babylon AD gave a good perspective of how the Anti-Christ will come, through genetic engineering of a perfect human.

I think that the powers at be are purposely trying to formulate the next big war to spur our economy.. we are headed for economic downfall especially considering that russia now is going to be the next oil superpower. without the war the dollar will collapse and we will be going into the next great depression since the middle eastern nations will be forced to liquidate their trillions of dollars in Treasury bonds. I think it was on purpose that this was all done during the olympics because it would get the least amount of news coverage...

from what i have seen (most being online from other news which may be biased) georgia had attacked their own cities with russian 'peacekeepers' in it.. russians replace their peacekeepers and put in more tanks without letting countries ok the extra military and the georgians and american media jumps all over the story. which i think was very one sided... sorry i had not read many posts above mine if this was already said in one form or another.
