Tips turning a different colour other than green can be a multitude of things, but maybe your soil is hot?

The soil has been working fine for me and many others. It's ecoscraps. I added the pics because I accidentally uploaded it without them so I went back and added them. Some people are tellin me to start adding nutes, others are saying it's too young to add them. So I haven't added anything but water from the tap that has been set out for 48 hours before I watered the plant.

To me, it looks like maybe you got some water that collected on the leafs and either a fan or lights or both crisped them up.

Hi do you know the pH of the water that you are adding from the tap? pH is extremely important in plants. This is the way it absorbs any type of nutrients. If the plants have Roots then it is time to put nutrients in the dirt. Use small amounts of nutrients when they're young otherwise they will burn the leaves. This is called nutrient burn. If they're not getting any nutrients that could be the reason why your plants are turning Brown at the tips also looks like the edges of the plant is turn yellow which is another sign of nutrient deficiency. They're starving for food. Also tap water can be full of minerals that could be harmful to your plant. And city water is full of chemicals which is not good for your plant. I always use distilled water or reverse osmosis systems when watering my plants that way I can control what I'm putting into the soil. Also do you know if there's any type of nutrients in your soil?
Honestly I don't know the ph level and that's the main thing I am worried about. I can't seem to find a good ph meter. But the water ph is around 7. When I get home I'm going to try to add some nutes, I added some Epsom salt to it just in case. I have some ph down that I'm going to use once I get a ph tester.

ph in soil isnt a major concern really unless its like 10 or 3 or something. Soil is too hot, the tips and edges of the leaves are burning. Adding nutrients now will exacerbate the problem.

That good there are many different brands of PH meters I just went on eBay and bought one. It not really a high-dollar pH meter but it works. It came with a calibration packet. the brand name is dr. Meter it cost like $15. Also if you add epson salt it will increase pH level. I add the pH Up and Down to my nutrients when I feed them. Like I said I'll be careful when adding nutrients just use a small amount at first they're not big plants so little will do. what type of nutrients do you have in mind I would suggest Advanced Nutrients three-part series micro, grow and Bloom I use it and it works great. if the pH isn't in the correct level the plants won't even absorb the nutrients at all so I'll definitely get a pH meter.

The tips of plants are may be getting burnt make sure you don't get any water on the Leaf's when your water and if you do Pat them dry so that the water doesn't act as a magnifying glass to burn the leaves. PH is always important. What type of lights are you using and what is the temperature in your room.

Sorry not Advanced Nutrients. General Hydroponics three-part series micro, grow and Bloom.
I did get water on the leaves when I watered it, but I didn't think anything of it so I didn't try it off. I'm using CFL lights and I'm not sure what the room temp is. I'm doing it in my closet, but it does get pretty warm when I close the doors, when I'm not home I keep the door open and put my ceiling fan on to cool it off
I've read up on the soil and people say it worked fine and didn't burn their plants so I don't think that is it. It might be what that guy 420 said with the water.

I would definitely get a temperature gauge for that room you. I keep my room anywhere between 75 and 81. I'd also get one that measures relative humidity cuz that's always good to monitor. Without proper humidity control you could get powdery mildew and other problems are associated with high humidity. If not controlled or monitored but is not so important in the vegetation stage more for flowering stage.
No, it's the stuff in the soil.One more question are those roots coming out of the ground?
