Help A Newb! Seedlings!

Hi Guys,

Just had a quick question.

I germinated my seeds and planted them around 1/4 inch. But, i did not fully saturate the pot with water, all i did was sprinkle some water around where i planted the seedling (trying not to hit the seedling directly with water).

Should i have fully saturated the pot with water, then planted the seeds?

If so, should i fully saturate the pots now, even though the seedlings have already been planted?

I made my sure my soil was nice and wet before i planted my 2 germinated seeds and both of them came right up. Also had a makeshift humidity dome, i.e a plastic baggy.. over them, so my advice to you not a soaked soil or mix but one that is moist throughout should be ideal. This is what personally worked for me. Also your seedling like a nice warm enviorment so have a light over the soil, this also prevents some stretch when they do pop. Should see some action in 24 hours. Hopefully, goodluck.

water them so the soil is moist , then you put them under your light and water when it starting to dry out if not moist 2 inch or 3 cm down you can water also ,sometimes it drys out quick sometimes not sorry my english hehe

I was gong to ask the same thing but had an add on question.
From what I've been researching, autos flowers do not like to be transferred. So I'm starting my auto Candy Canes in my 5 gallon phat sacks from germinated seeds. Do I need a dome for them or is my soil going to be warm enough? Thanks in advance. Here's a pic from my last harvest (it was my first)

I'm using 5 Gallon Phat Sacks so the clear wrap wouldn't work. I do have several little containers like the one you posted so that's perfect. Thanks for the help! Which strain are those little ones?

i already have them under domes, seems to be helping. Do they need to be "hardened off" when i take the domes off and expose them to full sunlight?

Somtimes it averages around 37% ( cali ) we dont get much rain here
So i mist plant and place dome or wrap to treat it like a terrarium .

I use a regular dome / heat pad setup ( when popping rockwool cubes , but soil germing i just add a cover. And it works pretty good , it will break ground within 48 hrs.

Got this from Donald Trump

Use a Styrofoam Cup
Pop a few holes in bottom
Fill with LIGHT SOIL OR SEEDLING MIX ( light warrior , etc )
NOTE : Light Warrior is some good shit ... Got Humic acid and Myco


This mix is highly aerated and optimal for seedlings , as beginning taproot can grow easily thru it.

Make small hole for seed and MIST SOIL ( not drench ). This mix is very dry and dusty , so it takes a few sprays to dampen.

Place seed / cover.
Because it is light , it dries out pretty quick , hence the plastic cover.
Keep soil lightly dampened only.

Notice the humidity that collects inside " dome " , just enough to keep seed area hydrated.
After seedling gets some growth in , i rip cup and have a PLUG READY TO PLANT.

THIS IS THE WAY I FOUND THAT YOU CAN " TRANSPLANT " AN AUTOFLOWER WITHOUT STRESSING IT.


Version 2 :

Dig out a " pocket " out in the container of premium soil you are using.
Fill pocket with seedling mix / DAMPEN ONLY THE SEEDLING MIX
NOT THE WHOLE DAMN CONTAINER.
Place seed in and let her rip.

Why did you go for the dynagro grow and not the foliage pro by dynagro?

They are both great ... I actually prefer Foliage Pro but , got a new shipment in with Dynagro Grow and Bloom that has yet to be used so , i had it on had.

With Foliage Pro , i like adding 1/4 tsp with my Bloom feed during flowering.
It really kicks things up. But i am a fan of DYNAGRO products.

But seriously , its great , plants dont burn and are green.
