New to LED growing but I already have my fixture in place. Just a common question though but what spectrum am I supposed to run during veg? I'm running 3 autos atm so no need to switch light cycle so...should I just run the red+blue spectrum all the time or should I just run blue and switch to red when I see them starting to flower?

Does it matter for photoperiod strains? The spectrum of light if the cycle is 18/6 for example.

And I'm glad amare stepped up from 2530 to 3070...right as PLC goes to 3590's. I'm glad you guys like the cx300. But it's not the latest and greatest anymore. Just one of the best values still.

So for someone who complains about no real world use...use the real world numbers not the ones stuck in your head.

I shot Victor an e-mail when I read your post and here is his response:

" Tell them fact is we are the first ones who adopted the CREE COB's and enhanced spectrum along with the fact that we have been using the 3590 since last summer with the Pro 7 and now Pro 9. No, he's old news on the 3590 not us."

He also sent along their current prices clearly showing that your lights are not half the price. ( Their lights are about 25% more, but their cost per watt is about 13% and 21% less)

AMARE 4/20 sale price $858.75 = $1.91/w
AMARE current price $858.75 = $1.91/w (price good until the end of May.)

PLC 4/20 sale price $650 = $2.17/W
PLC current price $725 = $2.42/w

*The first generation SE-350 matched his par with those little CXB2530 that he mocked, to his current 3070 CX300. Please note that you have to add 30% to the data because of the inverse square law since these readings are at 24 inches, while theirs are taken at 18 inches., We are around the same as him.(attached par). We also have the advantage of throwing on the lenses (they do not have lenses), ours will beat it. This is just the 350, the second generation 450 you have will crush it."

He also stated:

" We will gladly accept and make our panels available for any comparison. "

I know for a fact they are going to be at the CANNAGROW 2016 show in San Diego May 7th & 8th. so if your in the area see for yourself...

I must be missing something here. None of this jives to anything I find on the Amare website. Nowhere is there mention of using 3590's, I can't find any info for Pro 7 or Pro 9 on their site, and I'm not finding anything listed on their site for $858.75. Unless you're referring to the SE450 w/ a 25% discount. If this is the case, where did you get the discount code? And if they are indeed using 3590's on the current SE450, why do they have 3070's listed on the description? Can you please link to any info that states they are using 3590's and where you got that discount code?

Looking to buy 2 of the current best quality lights between $100 and $150 each, maybe up to $200 each if necessary for a small, personal grow of 4-6 plants. Need them for both veg/flower as I'm retiring an old 400w MH/HPS. I heard somewhere mars hydro and galaxyhydro can be trusted?

None of those models will even come close to a 400w hps's production.....save your money.

You need to contact Amare Technologies.... Once you talk to them you will understand what the "family' is all about. Where did I get the discount code from? Right from the CEO (Victor). I have the SE-450 GEN 2 sitting in its box right now waiting for it to be hung. As for their website it suppose to be in the process of being updated. Hope this helps...
 
I already said. Get a sphere and I'll supply the cx300(our first generation). Otherwise, you can wait 4 weeks till the new lights come out(and you don't have to email to find out about them, click and buy)...and all the ETL and IP testing will be done...along with all the data anyone could ever want about PLC lights.

So get the sphere done and stop trying to argue about things you don't understand.

PLC has the highest system efficiency and chip efficiency of anyone on the market and like we said, are spending all the money to test ourselves on the highest level(not a hand held quantum meter) with the best 3rd party to do it. And also encourage others putting our lights through whatever test they want...I even offered the light from my first generation you are so wrapped up on that will still beat anyone's stuff. So again...make it happen or step back and learn something.

I did contact them a few days ago (see my previous post in this thread). He made no mention of any discounts. As a consumer, I shouldn't have to be part of a "family" to receive a fair price from a manufacturer. That just reads to me that they are taking advantage of anyone who purchases directly from their website without inquiring about a discount. I've had conversations with Tasty as well, and their price is their best price...period. No need to be part of a family to receive their best price. And unlike Amare, Tasty uses 3590's. Your post states that Amare uses 3590's in their Pro 7 and 9, which I still can't find on their website, but does not state that they are using them in the SE-450. Yes, your post does help me. Helps ensure that I made a good decision to go with Tasty over Amare.

Typical noob claim to apply that to hps already but to directional led is just...

Sorry, I can't agree with you on that statement sir. I have run 400, 600 & 1000 HPS systems and I know from personal experience . I just completed grow using a SS-260 and a SE-220 and I netted .59 lbs off of them (bud only). A normal yield on a 400 HPS is about 8 oz or .5 lb. So I was right on par with my HPS grow with a lot less heat.

Thank you, what's an SS-260 and SE-220 please? I'm not a professional grower and only smoke what I grow, so not concerned too much about every last ounce from each plant. As hard as I try, I can't smoke pounds of weed :) Just looking for a quality, cheap, modern LED solution where I can get some ounces grown with minimal headache, and hoping someone here can attest to a proven solution.

You guys are never satisfied. Avoid like the plaque my butt... Do you know anything about the inverse square law? Same type that sit in the back and say "are we there yet" I have all that data... If you want it contact the company that is what I did... Once you get that questioned answered you probably want to know what color the electrons are.... Tried of wasting my time and energy on this. You use whatever you want. If your happy that is all that matters.

Personal grower that's great.. Yeah it is funny because many people don't know how cannabis works in the brain, it can only absorb so much. Anymore than that it has a diminishing effect. I like the SS-260 it is the Solar Spec and the SE 220 is the Solar Eclipse. The 220 is a COB based light and the 260 use single LED's, it is a workhorse of a light. I use it in a 4 x 4 tent over one plant. I would contact the company (AMARE Technologies). They have so many options available and a lot of it depends on your grow space and your budget... Do your research there are many good companies out there but a lot of bad ones to.

From my research and comparing factual/accurate information, and conversations with Tasty, I'm confident I won't be disappointed. That's how one should feel after making an informed decision. And one can't make an informed decision if a manufacture is not providing all of the pertinent information about their product. I'm also excited because after inquiring about a T4-2100 series, which did not exist at the time, Tasty is making it happen. He has some new 300 watt drivers coming in and is going to build 2 T4-2100's for me. I can't wait to see how they perform.

Yup we had a similar discussion but I still opted for the T4-1750's for my uses.

I am loving my T2-2100 in the smaller tent though.

You have called out my lights with false info. You can talk about amare all you want, show you grow...whatever. But when you falsely say thing about a light you have no experience with and also clearly didn't look much into, leave it be. You are the only one looking and acting poorly. So keep trying to bad mouth others to justify your own purchase. But the facts are facts and they stand.

PLC offers bulk light discounts so stop lying about that too. If you don't fall into multiple, that's not the same as not offering. So please do share what they told you. They have nothing to hide.
