I never ever use my buds. Need any advice?

Nah ive made plenty of butter just wondering if anyone else takes the time to cure it aswell I decarb and a spray with ever clear but that's a secret method for the most potent butter of all

Yeah lots of people do. Ive even watched tons of documentaries on places that make the edibles for dispensaries. They all use trim.

Correct but most people either use it fresh or dry it out on some car board im talking about curing just like I do with my buds

Y would you? You dont have to quick dry your trim...but the point of curing is for smoothness and taste smell of the buds.

I don't know I always have I feel like it gets rid of the grassy taste and makes the trim a little stronger but it might just be me but definitely takes away grass or minty taste and makes it more nutty tasting

Interesting thread!
I cure trim in paper bags after drying it a couple of days on a tray. Never need to burp, so it's easy. Bag curing also works on buds if you're in a hurry.
As far as butter goes, I cook that shit to death. At least 4 hours in a rice cooker. I doubt if everclear would be a good option for me. Just another expense...
Alcohol doesn't break down cellulose and no reason to break down the fiber to get to the cannabinoids.

I see two problems with that.
First is, cellulose is insoluble in alcohol. Completely. Cellulose will "swell" in water but not in alcohol.
The second is, the trichomes have the good stuff and they are all outside any cellulose, except the very thin shell of the trichome.
A spray evaporates off after it destroyed the trichomes. Alcohol is a GREAT solvent for the oily cannabinoids. You'll melt your trichomes to smears in seconds. I cannot imagine any other major effect from the spray. I see only downside, as an injured trichome will air-oxidize much much faster in the heat of decarb than an intact one.
How well does this step work? What does it change for your edibles?

I'd like to see the originals on those assays. (I speak fluent Chemist.) I do not trust an unreferenced "lab tests prove". I've seen the "lab tests" gag used in industry to a degree of professional cynicism that would make a Senator tip his hat.
Science? Yeahh! Bring it. And science runs on the numbers. Bring quantitative data; that is the only way to effectively make the argument. No numbers ... no way to even argue the point, except with the glittering generalities I touched upon above.
