LST Autoflowering height?

Hi all.

I have almost finished my first grow and the height worked out near perfect for my grow tote.
It had been topped and LST'd to shit, making a total height of 200mm from soil to the tallest stems.

My question is, am i able to keep an auto flower this low not being able to top it, just using LST?
I have abit more room to play with... say another 100mm. So the plant would have to be no taller than 300mm from soil to top.

Ive seen many Autos about this size. but have also seen some 1 metre tall which concerns me...

The strain i will be using is '710 Genetics Auto Purps' I cant seem to find any information for this strain.

also... Will the pot size limit growth of an auto with out causing problems?

Try to keep at least 3 gallon pots for an auto , some growers go 5 gallons .
I say DONT TOP them , ( some do BUT .... They may stunt or become stressed )

Autos hate transplanting and other Training methods ( crop , fim or top )
They dont have the time to recover. They will preflower WITHIN a month.
( i have one that began to preflower @ day 22 ) , depending on dominate gene (indica - bushy or sativa - tall / lanky ) will give you an idea of size.

You can LST autos , even scrog them .

You seem to have created a nice flat canopy.

Most of that is myth. Top your autos. Fim them. Lollipop them, hell I'm even trying mainlining one now.

They recover just as fast as photo periods. I've also noticed they take to transplants fine. I start for the first week or 2 in Rootmaker 4" propagation pots with no issues unless my lazy ass let's them dry up.


Here's the last topped one I had harvested. She was topped at node 3-4 then I left her alone.



More of a classic lollipop on the left, cleared inner growths on the right.


Now this is my first attempt at mainlining or FIMing, but they've taken any other HST I can throw at them, so I figure why not. This is a week later, recovering nicely.




They're just plants. Do whatever you need to to manage your plant size. I'd just limit high stress training to early veg.

For pot size, I recently ran some in 2 gallons instead of my normal 3-5, and size was definitely affected. Should still be atleast an oz each(500g/m2), but they definitely didn't live up to their potential. Most were around a foot tall untrained.




Big roots, big fruits. I prefer 3-5gallon pots. 3gallons should accommodate most, 5 should get the larger ladies.

i totally agree with this i have transplanted autos just make sure the leaves dont stretch out over the edge of the pot... never had a problem as long as you do whatever you want in the approprite tie frame as Atulip said
