Like a boss: Bernie 'Living Wage Sanders' cuts hundreds from campaign staff

Oh, the hypocrisy of the left, never ceases to amaze, hah!

On his campaign website, alongside his proposal for a national $15 an hour minimum wage, Bernie Sanders lays out in detail his proposed Rebuild America Act, a $1 trillion investment in modernizing America’s infrastructure that he estimates will create 13 million good-paying jobs.

Unfortunately for hundreds of his campaign staff, they’re going to need those good-paying jobs that aren’t going to materialize under a President Sanders.

“We don’t need people right now in Connecticut. That election is over,” Sanders said. “We don’t need them in Maryland. So what we are going to do is allocate our resources to the 14 contests that remain, and that means that we are going to be cutting back on staff.”

See what the free market made him do? On the plus side, when he’s elected president, he has plans to rehire every one of them. “If we win this, every one of those great people who have helped us get this far, they will be rehired.” If we win this?

Use 'em and dump 'em when you don't need them any more. ;)

I love me some Bernie Sanders. He may be one of the last idealists left in Congress. That said, from the get go his plans have been unsustainable. He doesn't have the mechanics nor the experience to implement a fraction of what he says he can and will do. I feel for his supporters, and most notably the true believer staffers who are now pounding the pavement looking for employment. Bernie fought the good fight, but it's time to call it a day and not end up like Ralph Nader's campaign - you remember: the one that gave us Dubya for POTUS.

Sounds like the logical thing to do, to me. The staff is not needed, so let them go. Do you think he has to transport those mostly volunteers around the country? What would the point be?

Dictating to other people the terms of their financial agreements and using force to do it is the definition of thuggery.

Bernie wants to do that.

The idea that a forcibly imposed $15 per hour minimum wage makes sense, fails the morality test, unless you like thugs.

If for a moment we abandon the immorality , the $15 minimum wage also fails to differentiate between the varying costs of living in different physical locations.

So, we can conclude that Bernie the thug is also an idiot. Perhaps, he's a well meaning idiot though ?

we agree on that. 15/hr in san fran gets you a fridge box to live in. 15/hr in rural 'bama gets at least a roof over your head.

seems to me that if a person works 40hrs a week, they should be paid a wage that they can live off.

We have Sanders supporters wanting to either not vote or have Bernie run 3rd party
Can you fathom saying President Cruz?

why are you accussing other people of "thuggery" when you think it should be legal to kick people out of stores because they are black, and also refuse to state that it should be illegal for you to have sex with 10 year olds?

One of the things you may not have not considered is how government intervention can cause housing costs to rise, which is often the largest single expenditure for low income people.

If a person can't find a job they can live off, the other thing you may not have considered is
"if they were allowed to" they could open their own business, however regulations often create barriers to entry there and protections for favored cronies.

Seems to me if person A and person B make an agreement that doesn't involve another party the wage should be what they agreed to, not under the auspices of an uninvolved third party.

The third party, "government" in this case is one of the reasons why low income people find it hard to get by. Perhaps you've never considered how inflation factors in or what causes it?

Striking root causes will yield better results than flailing in the branches.

I certainly don't endorse a racists point of view, but it would be thuggish of me to attempt to control HIS / HER property and go there when it was clear I wasn't welcome.

Hey? Isn't that what Bernie wants to do? Control other peoples property without their permission?

As far as your suggesting sex with ten year olds, I can't endorse that behavior either, but you seem keenly interested in talking about it.

Interesting too, that both Bernie and people who engage other people sexually without their consent use the same tactics, wherein it doesn't matter if the other person consents or not, they just go ahead and use threats to get their way.

Have a great day, Poopy Pants.

Should it be legal for adults to have sex with consenting 13 year old children?
Yes or No.

Nobody is forcing you to live in San Francisco actually my dad drove 2 hours each way to work around Boston.

I make more than $15 an hour as is and live in a rural area I would not pay that much for help though. Really everything is going to go up in price cause I have to pay $15 an hour for help my customers are going to pay it I'm not taking a pay cut land ain't free I pay 5k a year just in property tax and I'm still saving for a nice fishing boat for my retirement. :)
