Yeah that's fucking garbage, I feel ya. I do kind of think stoners get a little spoiled some times with all the discounts and freebies when buying seeds though. I've made orders with over $200 worth of freebies added on, that's just insane when you think about it. TDT really did me nice the last time I ordered from them with over $125 worth of freebies on a $83 order, scoring on the Bodhi promo and 420 freebies. Half of those freebies don't stand a chance of finding any soil of mine, but still what company is gonna hit you with that kind of kick back other than a seed bank. That's totally garbage what they pulled with you, but if TDT has the beans I'm looking for in the future I'm probably not gonna hesitate to pull the trigger.
I feel ya. The freebies are nice, but I think it's the breeders for the most part that are fronting the freebies. I don't think the seed sellers have to take a loss there.
The promo I'm referring to was just a discount. 25% off or something like that. To me it's kinda stupid to dick around with promo codes. That just opens the door to BS like I experienced. If you're gonna run a promo why not just say "25% off everything all weekend, starting at xx time, and ending at xx time." Simple, and doesn't create scenarios where games can be played like this.
Eh.. Its just misleading if you advertised 10% off with a code n its bullshit..it ain't right..I emailed the guy n told him it didn't work..he got back to me quick n said he'd refund the 10$ and it would cost 6-7$ to process... I mailed back n said that's pimpy and just toss me a couple free beans n he said cool..so it all worked out... I'd prefer to never order overseas again..no reason I can't survive on jamesbean or the dank team... And more american banks pop up monthly...this is my first order through James bean and the dabk team n I will update my experience n hopefully its all good n I keep my dough in the states from now on.
For sure. I can't see myself sending another nickel across the pond. There's a bunch of American banks popping up now though, so I can still shop domestically and not deal with the American banks that are shady. I won't shop at SVOC either as you never know what's in stock and if you'll get the beans you want or not. Great Lakes Genetics, James Bean, Oregon Elite, and the new Belle Isle Bean Bank are the ones I'm sticking with for now. I might give Sour Patch a go too at some point.
