At what point do you flip into flower?

I have a 600watt light, which i've been told is good for about 3x3 - 4x4. I plan to do a lot of training / topping this time to do some better canopy management. At what point should I be flipping from veg into flower in order to maximize my canopy coverage? Im trying to keep the plants a bit lower, doing what i can to make them grow horizontally until I switch over to my scrog grow in the fall. But I'm not sure how much I should let them grow before switching.

I've been running 9 plants in a space of about 4x4 - 5x5 depending on how I space them. I think im over crowding a bit because the plants in the back corner don't bud nearly as nice as the ones directly under the light. So i'm probably going to cut it down to 6 plants and see how my yields compare.

Any advice appreciated.

Plants will usually double in size sometimes more or less depending on strain, when they fill roughly half the space flower. What i'd do anyway

Long flowering sats can triple in height like my purple haze did. Indicas like my og kush may double or come close to it. Plan accordingly.

In your situation, 4 plants with 4 weeks veg, should be good, i grow 1 plant in like a 2x2

Let them get to 18inch and then flip them,

They shouldn't end up outta control if you follow THC advice, i would flip at around 18 inches and by the time there done stretching expect around a metre plant.

How many weeks in flower did your og kush take I'm doing mk uktra 5 weeks in...

I ran my og kush 72 days. I'm thinking about running master, critical, and Afghan kush at the end of the year. How's the mk ultra doing @THCBrain

I have 2 different phenos one is short and stocky and the other is long and lanky I would say the tallest was around 4 ft and the small around 3, lots of small buds at the minute, looking forward to the next few weeks, im really hoping it's a 63 day strain but I'm unsure..

My og was 55 days according to the breeder so 63 should be good @THCBrain .
