I usually do 4 plants, but I'm sure you could easily do 6 plants. Next round I'm going to run 6 under 2 600s instead of 8. I think I can keep my yield about the same and quality should go up. Will definitely be easier to care for.

You need to build reflective divider's and then you can get about 24 inches penetration in a 4 foot sqaure. Although honestly I use 2 x 600w to cover 5 foot by 8 foot. My plants are bushy, close nodes, topped, tied down, leaves tucked. I think others use a little more space such as 10' x 5'. You see it isn't a number of plants it's an area
And whats ur average yield??
what happens if i put more than 8 plants? But still with 600 watts

If you have space, don't fuck around with a 600. Get a 1000w... Or two, or three, etc, etc..
You can have as few or as many as you like. If you keep em small cram a crapload In there and use a trellis to bring the canopy up after you top the shit out of them. You could do one big ol bush too, whatever you like best.

4 oz a plant is easily obtainable with the right strain and not much veg time. I luv my 600w, less heat and easy on the utility bills. A buddy uses 1000w and his bills are more than double mine.
