They have pro9000 for 5x5. So your apache crushed them kinds? I mean you was defending them pretty hard even after you bought the Apache. Now you seem to be 100% against them, what happen?

Also I posted some info about amare lights and some of the questions I asked may give you some more info.

I will follow up more on that. Thrilled it seems to be the answers I need. Thank you

Is Air cooling an LED is much different than cooling a hps? Here in colder climates I can't pull cold air through the bulb but would assume there is little affect on an LED. Amare seems like one of the best lights going but I keep checking the website and only see 4 diff for sale but so many quotes that list a dozen. I'd hate to get fed up and look elsewhere since I'm needing lights soon.

I went from hps to LED to better LED back to cheap LED and now I can't decide what to do. Cree cobs, cmh or these. I'll give it a week and come back to it I guess.

Ah sorry. Yeah, I never looked into the kind LED's. To me they fall into the MarsHydro group. Mid grade and mixed reviews. But I never used them before just the stuff I read.

O you don't need to do it, they have fans on them. Maybe that's what they mean. Btw these are with cree's that's why I went with them. Had that with the mono color LED's going around the Cree cob for good spectrum. From the pictures has its own fans.

I can only talk about the 450 a little bit because that's what I was going for, but should be 0 heat issues, no need to duct them at all, just a simple exhaust system with carbon filter. Or if you got co2, may not need to use exhaust at all.

What's the coverage of the 450? Also I read above a 25% sale on 4/20 is it still going? I could swing 3 of them with the return money from kind. That would be a sick upgrade.

As for LEDs I believe most people are confused about the efficiency part. Until I started looking into cobs I didn't have a clue myself.

Lol my Mars is a pos compared to the kind if that says anything about quality of them.

Yeah from what I read they can do it, just better options. And yeah, then 450 unit runs at 500 watts with think it was 49%.

I posted info and foot prints here, http://rollitup.org/t/if-you-are-new-to-led-and-want-help-choosing-what-to-buy-post-here.633304/page-451

But 450 is for 4x4 and pro9 is for 5x5 commercial he said. They are back ordered arm they told me be maybe two weeks. As for the sale not 100% sure. I added their email in that thread there as well. I must say the owner I think Victor was really fast and was on point with a lot of his answers.

Mars is redic. Sad attempt to take a shot at Amare. they did that over thread members on GC beefing between a Mars family & Amare family thread or something. It was quite amusing to watch/read at the time actually! That was useless & I'm not sure how it started. But the 2 lights aren't even in the same category whatsoever so I didn't get it. Just funny LED bickering prob.
I don't think the #'s are out but I can see with my plants that w/o lenses the spread is big & the edges are budding nicely. Especially up against the white wall. Usually have solid cross lighting but that was my 1/2 a tent attempt.

I love the part where they went with cheaper shopping and drove 2 hours. Mars hydro is worth millions but that extra hung broke the bank.

In that video right? I was thinking the SAME thing today. I am like wait aren't they one of the biggest companies why are they getting a small unit at a discount and they did that lol.

Do not pull cold air through the duct for HPS or LED. room temp is right. Cold air from outside is not good as most lights are designed to run at certain temps. Don't cool them just pull the hot air away.
The reason there's so many quotes on Amare products is that you can configure them anyway you desire almost. So, if you designed your own Solar-Symphony customized, you'd get a deal buying it as a package rather then individually. Know what I'm saying?!
Also, they are on-top of it as far as producing what we want. They listen n listen well, trying to give us exactly what we want. Big power-house needed- ok, here's a Pro-9. The other Pro-models that you may of heard about were never sold as a finished product. Started as a Pro-7 until they were able to work out everything & make improvements, end product, the Pro-9. The new ones I mentioned are to maximize even light delivery & can be used in all sorts of arrangements. I'll be getting the SS-300's to go around my SE-450. From what I gathered in info over time.

Glad to see poeple talking facts about Amare finally.

Trying to run co2, my lights were air cooled when warmer temps are outside. The whole air exchange part is the toughest when it comes to lights that defo need it.

I sent amare an email and waiting to hear back on their pricing. If they can get me 3 lights at a fair number I will be thrilled. I just built a new room and things hopefully won't change so these lights would work great.

Yeah with led in general you don't worry about the heat, even ,ore when you mix that with co2. And I think not 100% should check if there is IR. I do not use co2 so I could be wrong, but think you want IR with led when doing led with co2.

I can't vouch yet for their heat and how it is, but you'll be more the good keeping temps at 84s.

Again something you should ask them they can better answer that.t

The 3070's are 49% efficient and I'm sure the smaller less are close to the same. Either way it's probably a very cool running light especially being at 450 watts.

The cobs are 50 watts. So that's 300 watts. There are 40 5 watt LEDs and the uv bulb. How is the total wattage only 450 or 500? There is also no info on any of the light anywhere. Tough to dump money based on the principal of different lights in one housing and forum reviews.

Cuz the 5 watt diodes are ran at around 3-3.5 watts. LEDs are ran at less then their rated amount for efficency & efficacy. That's why the COBs are 47 watts instead of 100. Hope that helps.

Sure does. I knew they weren't pumped to the max but quick math didn't add up either.

I'm very close to a purchase and can't wait to start a journal with my new room and new lights.

Why the need for an in-line cooled hood? I got a 9x5 flower tent I'm in the process of setting up so this looks juicy
You can pull any heat generated from the light (heat sinks) right out of a smaller grow space like a tent, closet or grow cabinet or a sealed room. This allows better temperature control in your grow environment. Put a PRO 9 IC in a 5 x 5 tent and vent in room air exhaust out then fire up the CO2 and watch those monsters grow!

I live in a climate where outdoor air can't be brought through the light for the full year. It's a great concept for an indoor grow attached to a house but I personally need to intake outdoor air. Since this is the case I would need to intake room air and that would leave me with negative pressure which would kill the co2.

I am sort of confused ... You need to bring in outdoor air but can't bring in outdoor air all year.... I don't bring in outdoor air. I exhaust (carbon scrub) my tent outdoors in the spring and summer, but in the winter I just dump it in the room. I ran a test on the SE-220 and had the tent completely closed off for over an hour with just a circulating fan running and I was only a few degrees over ambient room temperature after the the test. I've only ran the 'green pad " bag o mushrooms type CO2 enhancement.
