Thought this video was neat.

Did they tell you the ppfd of the 450? It's a nice site they have but I feel a lot of useful information has been left out =/ not really sure what I umol is.
Mars is redic. Sad attempt to take a shot at Amare. they did that over thread members on GC beefing between a Mars family & Amare family thread or something. It was quite amusing to watch/read at the time actually! That was useless & I'm not sure how it started. But the 2 lights aren't even in the same category whatsoever so I didn't get it. Just funny LED bickering prob.
I don't think the #'s are out but I can see with my plants that w/o lenses the spread is big & the edges are budding nicely. Especially up against the white wall. Usually have solid cross lighting but that was my 1/2 a tent attempt.

Yeah it rally did not explain really much of any thing. I was hoping they did a compare or something. I dont go on gc, but sounds entertaining :)

Yeah, he's sent me a few emails so far, still waiting to hear from him again. I wish he would post all that data on the site :P I was interested in your grow, but I also know you had some issues with the plant under the HH. You going to run another compare grow use same strain nutes ect?

Yeah I saw that video it was very "shady"... I've opened my SE-260 to do an upgrade of the clusters. Guess what AMARE said no problem and no worries on the warranty. It was spotless and very professionally wired. In my line of work we call it "craftsmanship like manner" Can't wait to see your next comparison grow. I am very stoked on the specs of the 450!

Yeah, I dont think it was a big swipe tbh. It was saying amare was still new, and said they had the same issues before. But to me they did paint amare in an ok light. With their promptness and service. I guess it could be seen that way when they took it apart and said the drivers and parts are made in china and they didnt understand why it was made in america when it could be cheaper in china. I dont know if that was a diss, or just them stating their thoughts.

Either way didn't hurt my thoughts on it, just trying to find out what I can about the lights and the companies before I make a choice.

Well a lot depends on the strain... Your growing method and a ton of other factors. Under the SS-260 I have netted between 12- 18 oz It is very realistic to pull a pound in a 4 x 4 space. I've just ran two plants, one under a SE-220 and the other under a SS-260 and I will easily pull a pound. As for a single light you could get a SS-100 or a SS-150. Keep the plants short, fem, lollipop, defoliate. It will do a single plant easily. Yes a 100 or one 150 would do fine for clones or seedlings. I run a 3 x 3, a 4 x 4 and a 5 x 5 tent setup. Tent 1 is clones and seedlings, Tent 2 is vegetative and Tent 3 is flower.
Your best bet is to e-mail AMARE and tell them your budget and what you want to do. I am sure they can help.
Someone w/ possible GPW records? I've seen tons of beautiful plants n buds but nobody was ever trying to max out. Big, bomb nice buds & happy plants & owners but not much for GPW or gp/sq'. Think you may have a few #'s if you recall? That would be cool. Oh, yoi should post pics on my thread homie!
I see how a 450 could replace 1000 watt HPS in some circumstances but it's not a direct replacement IMO.

Yep I have had a journal on another forum where I did a very detailed write up. My latest I pulled 148.2 grams from the 260 so that comes out to .57 gpw, but that was only the tops of the plant. I still have the lower half to harvest. No the 450 is close to a 1K but not that far off. I found if keep your plants around 3 ft tall you get a lot better results. I know with two 450's you would have no problem matching a 1k hps system. I am considering using a light mover in my 4 x 4 with one with 4 to 6 plants. I know fellow growers who use 1K HPS per plant or every two plants. Here are a few pics of some of our harvest.

My kind leds are boxed up and heading back to the dirtiest gutter in China. I would love more info on the amare. From what I have seen they seem to be a pretty badass light but there is so much missing info on them. Coverage is a huge one, I have 3 3x3 food tables and with overhanging branches I expect my total would be closer to 4x12. What's the best options including amare lights?

My best suggestion is to contact them via their website. Right off hand I think three 450's would do the job. Yet they have the PRO 9 which is a monster of a light. Hope this helps

Ha, "dirtiest gutter in China"! That's awesome. Thats why I did this test!
"Where am I" is right about 3, 450's doing great. Victor told me about his new SS300/Solo250, It's 32"x8", 10" longer then the 450 for the best possible coverage. He said they're coming out in like a month. I'm getting a few myself.
As for coverage, the 450 is doing a hell of a job on my 4'x4'. You could use it for a 3'x3' ultra intense! I like that I can use the lenses or not. With them you can control your footprint & choose your intensity. Good luck!

I was talking to a guy at the hydro shop the other day who was going to buy the 450 and Victor told him the same thing about a new model coming out soon. What's the details on it?

Yeah I have some more questions ifs out don't mind. I know some about the Crees and drivers. Are you able to tell me what ones you are using? And do you have any ppftd for the 450 or your new model? Are you able to tell me how many par watts? What is different on your new model coming out? How much will it costs and would it be a bad idea for my spot?

The drivers for the SolarEclipse250/450 are LSD Power and the SolarPro900(Pro9) are Meanwell. Both of the Pro9 and Pro9IC(in-line cooled) are in stock. It will be available on our website soon, but you can order direct now. The Pro8 MSRP@@$1995 and the Pro9IC MSRP@$2095. We are currently offering a pre-release special -25% and will also have a 4/20 offer of -25% on our entire line. The Pro9 will be too much for your 4x2 as it's recommended for a 5x5@24-30" and is designed primarily for commercial applications.
Here's a grow featuring the Pro9.

I also posted a lot of the data they gave me over here https://www.rollitup.org/t/if-you-are-new-to-led-and-want-help-choosing-what-to-buy-post-here.633304/page-451#post-12529601. I do recommend you send them an email (In my post as well), they are very prompt and good with questions.

Wish I had more room :( That thing looks really nice, if I had more room I would of went for it. But he told me it would be way to much for my spot.

Hope it helps.

They have pro9000 for 5x5. So your apache crushed them kinds? I mean you was defending them pretty hard even after you bought the Apache. Now you seem to be 100% against them, what happen?

Also I posted some info about amare lights and some of the questions I asked may give you some more info.

Wrong guy, billy green bought the Apache. I vouched for the yields partly responsible by the kinds. Then went ahead and bought 2 of them. Features, proven success and exactly what I needed wattage wise, coverage and low heat claims, any new grower in my situation would have done the same. Luckily resinhound helped open my eyes to the other side of lighting and that's efficiency.

I do believe the kinds are over priced but it's so damn tough to decide on lighting when there are so many options available. Luck will have it I currently know of 15 kinds being used by friends with out issues but mine took a shit and 31 LEDs burned out after 2 weeks.
