So my question is, do you like smart pots or plastics pots while growing indoors? I started my plants in plastic pots in coco. I then transplanted them into smart pots after the got to big for the small pots I had them in. But since I transplanted them into smart pots with coco. They dont seem to be growing as much or dont look as good.

How long ago did you transplant?
Its been 1 week. In the plastic pot, she was growing like crazy with 100% coco. I transplanted her into a smart pot and added some perlite with the coco. It seems to take forever for the smart pot to dry enough to water again. In the plastic pot. I used less water/feed and I could tell when she needed watered again.

Thats what i thought too when i 1st transplanted mine into smart pots, but now after they took off i have to water more often. I can just tip the pot now and can tell when they need water.

It may still be shocked from transplant. The roots growing out after a few days will strengthen and enlarge them allowing for more nutrient uptake and should increase growth development. Just my humble opinion...

Question... is 2 gallons the pot you are planning to finish her in or are you planning an additional move?

I was thinking of finishing her in the 2 gallon smart pot. I am just using a 150 watt hps for flower.

Love my smart pots. Would never go back to plastic pots. The drainage is better allowing the bottom of the pots to actually dry out between watering leading to less chance of root rot. No root balling so the roots can actually breath and suck up all those lovely nutes.
Currently growing four plants in 16l pots and they are loving it. I water every three days and have had no issues at all. One week from flush and I'm super excited!!!

What I love about the Walmart bags is it has handles sewn in already they're just tucked underneath to take the picture and what I love most is the cost just .50 cents per bag never grew in smart pots so I can't really compare growth but I can compare prices and IMO you can't go wrong with Walmart bags!

We don't have wallmarts here so can't comment on there bags. Are they just cloth bags like the smart pots?
Most sizes of my smart pots have handles expect the 2l ones which is no problem as they are only used for about a week.
Another thing I forgot is they are made from recycled plastic bags so
I'm doing my bit for the environment.
