ok so new thought...
google sacred geometry.... you will find 6 circles around 1 circle, all with equal diameter touching each other.
something like this....
...OO
..OOO
...OO
this is 7 total cobs. over 9 sq ft. @ 1050 ma on a single HLG-240H-C1050B
pls excuse the extra decimals...
3x3= 9 sqft or 0.836127m^2
-1050ma through a 3590 will push ~35.61936w and be in the 60.35737%range
-7x35.61936w=249.33552w
The math...
-249.33552w x .6035737= 150.49radiant watts
-Using the conversion factor of 4.7photons per radiant watt...(4.7 x 150.49 ) = 707.314µmols PPF (respect the 707)
-Convert PPF to PPFD(in m2)...707.314 PPF ÷ .836127m^2= 845.9µmols PPFD.
- Then tax that based on the optics...845.9 x .95 = 804µmols after optics
then add ~48 ppfd for the Red Pontoon I have from Inda-gro.... 852 ppfd.
total ~290w.
2p's per tray is a common goal when using 4x4s, and if one plant per sq ft in a 4x4 that would be 56g per plant.
so in a 3x3 tray with 9 plants the goal would then be 504g.
504g from 290w would be 1.74gpw with a slightly higher avg ppfd than a gavita 1000w de (info from their website)
seems practical. and pretty cost efficient.
criticism please
