and from what i ve been told by ttystikk i beleive, that bulb is NOT as efficient as the T12 bulbs that run on the low-frequency square wave ballasts, but the spectrum is the same(ish)
Ah, ok... I knew you ran 860w CDM for flowering and for some reason I thought you were possibly replacing those with 315w CMH. Do you run the 315w CMH bulbs with the extra layer of glass that are rated for open use? The ones that Bobby G posted an amazon link to look like just one layer of glass, not that I'm concerned I don't plan on bumping into them just curious..
At about adjustable led's and use the oval?All true. The plants love it.
Yea, this first time I ever seen a moguled 315w w/o an adapter would have thought it to be a MH without their informationNo, Sir- you're just a lil confused, I'll see if I can explain better;
Correct. Mogul socket, FTW!

You could still use the oval screens if your led's were capable of tilting.I don't understand your question?

I mean the cylindrical screensOval screens? I'm missing something here, lol
I mean the cylindrical screens
If we're talking about COB LED lighting, my fixtures all use glass lenses.
I confess to having no idea what you're referring to here, I'm sorry?
Lol, I am referring to the half cylinder screen you train your plants to. If your led's were adjustable you could still use them
I AM still using them; I merely bent them flat!
A compact four or five sided box with COB LED lights on the outside, fans, fins and drivers on the inside, could emulate omnidirectional lighting reasonably well.
...
Dr. Jeffery DeMarco would be proud of you!
Hint: Phototron.

So hope you guy don't mind me jumping in on this forum mix... Been trying to do some serious info diggin on the 315w CMHs and the info is a little all over the place, like anything else on growing.
I currently run 4x8 tents, just two at the moment. one with 2x 600w sunpule 3k lamps, and other with 1 3k sunpule 600w and one hrtilux 600w blue, and each has a 80w hanz panel led mixed in the middle, 8 plants per tent in 10-15gal pots of supersoil style dirts and a compost tea here and there. Quality is great, but id like to improve lighting if worth it to lower electric or heat, but not lose weight. Id like to be same if not more weight.
My thoughts was trying 2 315w (either sunlights or hydrofarms models, i like hydrofarm is both 120/240v) and mixing in a hanz panel 150w led in middle in each tent as many claiming each 315w near 600w and most people claim the sunpule produces less than 600w hps. What are your thoughts? will i lose yeild?
