I just mean that with mainling, you are really pruning the shit out of the plant, and each cut take times for the plant to recover. 1st cut down (it probably took the plant 4 to 6 weeks to get 7 branches) from the 6 or 7th node, and then taking the lower 3 branches for a mainline, takes the plant a LONG time to recover. Then you top again on the 2 mains, slowing down the plant even further. Each cut slows the plant down by 4 days at least, so count all the cuts you have to make to mainline for 4 colas It slows down the plant by a LOT. Yea, I top to maintain height and canopy, but personally, I don't want a 10 week plant until cut. I want to be smoking that bitch at 10 weeks. I top only once, which still gives me a 1 week delay. Figure it this way, if you cut your finger, it will take a week to recover. Same with a plant, and I grow for a living, so every extra week, is money out of my pocket. You have committed now, and I'm not saying you won't get good herb, it just will take longer. Mainling is like Bonsai, in that you will have a beautiful plant if done correctly, but it definitely takes time
