The pistols (hairs) can sometimes be misleading, best way to tell when to harvest is by using a jewlers loupe (30x magnification) to examine the trichomes. Clear trichomes will turn milky, this is the time the thc levels will be at the most potent. After the milky stage the trichomes will amber up indicating a break down of thc giving you more of a couchlock high. The white hairs will turn redish brown during the drying,curing process. Hope this helps.

Well If all your parameters are good to go then maybe you just have a strain that takes a little longer to ripen. Just keep looking through the glass and watch for the milky trichomes to arrive. Happy growing.

Be very hard to find,be good if you do mange to find these,Do what we do ,go to the places these strains originated from,and you might fall lucky,i have family in jamaca,i go there once a year and i am still hunting one pheno of purple skunk from over there,along with a few others i grew up with,i have a few.Most of jamaca is now been flooded with seed's from seed banks like greenhouse,sensi seeds.That is the main reason that i never take any seeds over there with me its not right,flooding there grows with,strains like white widow,its causing serious damage to some of the oldest landrace strains around.
I had some seed's brought back from africa,the pictures of the bud was a very sad looking set of flowers covered in seeds,but the seeds are part of my collection,and one day i will get round to doing them just to prove to my friend who brought me them back that the weed would have been good if they would have grown it right,and pulled the males.

I've given serious thought to just heading down to Panama for a few months and hiking around in the hills, looking for secluded patches of dope in the hope of finding some original Panama Red. It'd be a long, arduous trip, but if it pays off, it'd be a major achievement. I'd isolate it, keep it genetically intact, and maybe sell it clone only so a million idiots don't immediately start crossing it with purpleburpleblueberrybubbleglue or whatever the Flavor of The Week is. It'd be a nice legacy to leave behind; the guy who saved Panama Red.
I just had a thought - wouldn't it be incredible to be digging through a box of your old stuff from high school, and come across a 30-year old nickel bag of Panama Red with some bagseeds in the bottom? Might not germinate after all that time, but if they did... wow! What a find!

That's encouraging, because it suggests it's a true sativa - such as you'd expect Acapulco Gold to be. Good luck to you, hope it grows out properly!
