When to lst?

Most people say three nodes dude. I'd give it a little more time. Take it easy when you do do it though, I snapped my main stem right at the bottom! She's bounced back now, but I was so pissed off at myself. Get yourself some padded garden wire or garden string. I wouldn't use twist ties or cable ties (again), they're a bit sharp on soft stems. Take this time to drill some holes in the edge of your pot to tie the string to!

Okay, ya I'm a lil nervous about breaking my stem too. I have some copper electrical wire, would that work ok

I don't know enough to know if the copper would react with the plant. Best to use a completely inert material. Copper's expensive anyway, save that for the zombie apocalypse. Use a clean shoelace!

Ok well I work in construction so wire was free. But I was worried about it reacting also so I won't use.

Yeah, I'd get some proper stuff. The insulated wire is good for making a horshshoe shape, and just holding branches into the ground. String is great for all sorts of training, but can be fiddly to tie knots in when the plants that small.

What are you growing?

If your using cfl id keep it 4" away. Tie an achor to the bottom first going in the opposite direction of where you want to lst. Then bend until your top is below where you want shoots to pop up.
At first i thought you were supposed to bend only until parrallel to the ground.
This is not so.
Ill shoot u some pics of mine in about 30min day 23 i started lst around day 12 lol

Also if your not already doing so turn up the fan on that hoe. Until she wobbles a little. That will make her think shes dealing with a windy climate, and thus shell build a stonger and bigger stem. Which is not only less likely to break in lst. But also allows the nutrient and water uptake to increase.
