GOP Tax Plans Would Be the Largest Redistributions to the Rich in American History

The tax cuts for the rich proposed by the two leading Republican candidates for the presidency — Donald Trump and Ted Cruz — are larger, as a proportion of the government budget and the total economy, than any tax cuts ever before proposed in history.

Trump and Cruz pretend to be opposed to the Republican establishment, but when it comes to taxes they’re seeking exactly what that Republican establishment wants.

Here are 5 things you need to know about their tax plans:

you can't cut taxes and purchase 4.4 billion dollar war machines while ignoring the human right of healthcare for all.

Your sentiments are half right AND inconsistent.

Of course war machines euphemistically (and laughably) referred to as "defense spending" should be viewed skeptically. Thank you for bringing that up.

I assume you oppose death and destruction disguised as "defense" which is really the most wicked extension of the use of government force etc. Good for you.

Then you reverse your position on the use of force and champion the use of government force by advocating people be made to purchase something or face a threat of government force. Everybody has a right to health care, NOBODY has a right to make another person fund something they aren't interested in funding though.

You wouldn't think so. That destroyer will be so effective against ISIS though.

It can. But unfortunately it was a huge money grab for contractors. The machine costs a few hundred million, the other 2 billion went to top secret research and development. Non refundable, non traceable cash. Every crooks dream.

Congress approved it by the way. They also held stocks in the developer`s companies. That was just coincidence though. No plan there.

actually, they do have the right to insist you pay a share proportionate to your income in order to maintain infrastructure.

you DO use infrastructure and in this country, you are either in or out.

don't like the rules?..leave the game.

but yet lets elect hillary so we may conduct business as usual.

want to stop it? that would be campaign reform on aisle 2.

until then..you will get EXACTLY the same so you have no right to complain.

we had a chance to change our course and blew it..

those who supported Sanders are the real reformers in this country..i feel not a thing for what happens next.

It`s the new guys turn. A new guy muscled his way into position, nobody in the career politician`s group likes it. Resistance and off the beaten path,...How dare he ?

Your guy is a career politician, and rich when he loses.

Nice try. You obviously like initiated force when the result of it is something you like. You failed to address the contradiction I pointed out....why?

Of course people should pay for that which they use. That doesn't mean people should be forced to pay for that which they DON'T use. Nor does it mean alternative ways of doing things should be forcibly suppressed.

Also, "they" do not have anymore right than you or I do to insist that people do anything but leave them alone.

If "they" have rights that you and I don't have....where did they come from and how did "they" acquire them?

Can a person delegate a right they do not possess?

Sorry sweetly, healthcare isn't a right, it's a service provided by an individual performing said service for a profit that HE/SHE determines is worthwhile for his/her time and labor. You have no more right to their services than you do to an electrician or plumber. Wishing for something really, really badly, doesn't make it a right. Neither does demanding it.

No, you're wrong, but you wish you were right.

Bernie voted with Hillary well over 90% of the time and loves the Military Industrial complex.

Just because he whines about "big banks" doesn't mean he's done anything about them...He voted to extend the debt ceiling MULTIPLE TIMES!!...that's a vote FOR BIG BANKS

That is a valid point, good luck getting some people to address it.

Everybody has a right to healthcare for which they can provide ample payment. Beyond that, you only have a right to die in the gutter.
